Dominance in heaven and earth is of a lord

When Jesus was on this earth, he did not try to control the economic power of the society. He never tries to take hold of political power. He just preached the truth and worked day and night to plant the seed of the world of God in every fertile heart prepared by the Father. I know Jesus does not have a theology degree. I am sure Jesus does not have a Ph. D. in divinity or a degree in anthropology. Yet I am sure, Jesus was not an average carpenter but the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is expressed in Jesus and Jesus is the presentation of the very wisdom of God. Shall we learn from Jesus and his ways or shall we try to lead Jesus with our ways? 

 

Jesus worked day and night to show us what the temple of the Holy Spirit should look like. Once the Holy Spirit is given, the most significant work of the Holy Spirit is to build the temple of God in the image of Jesus. That is the most important work of the lord. The best gift of God is love, and love is the perfection of law and the perfect expression of God’s nature, the nature of Jesus. When you become like Jesus, you will have a perfect expression of perfect love. The miracle above all miracles is to make you look like Jesus. The best gift is love. 

 

Is Jesus foolish to focus on the hearts and minds of people than on political and economic power? Does lord need an anthropology degree? What about Ph. D. in divinity? Jesus was wise enough to know the horse comes before the cart, and only a foolish Peter, Simon, trying to advise Jesus will bring the cart before the horse. The interest of Jesus was not in economic power, as Jesus does not know scarcity. Without scarcity, there is no economic problem. There is no need for economic power, as a result. The focus of Jesus was not on political power because power is his nature and dominance is his right. The focus of Jesus is to save us from darkness and to transfer us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. You could say political power and economic power are mandatory, otherwise, how does it work? The way it worked for Paul, Peter, John, and Jacob.

 

Let us get more practical and pragmatic to restate what is unquestionable truth, as stated above, in more pragmatic words. If you control people’s minds, you control their life. This is what the Holy Spirit and Jesus do. If you control several minds, you control society. If you control society, you can easily deal efficiently with outliers and lawbreakers most effectively and efficiently. This is what Paul and John tried to impose on churches against outliers, which are the worst sinners and heretics. If one cannot control people with mind control and social control, some people use state power. This is what the Church of Rome and Eastern Orthodox churches try to do in a large part of their history. The last one will force you to make a covenant with the devil, say Constantine, and it is the least efficient and very sinful way. Jesus worked in mind and hearts, and you want to exchange it for political and economic power. What you need is Jesus, not Constantine. 

 

My question is why trade gold for dirt? Why trade what is expensive for what is cheap? Why lose the way of Paul and Peter, the way of Jesus and John, the way of perfection to buy Constantine or to be Constantine? Take most of Africa, where marriage, by norm, faith, and law, is between men and women. We don’t lobby politicians to protect our faith, their self-interest and hopefully faith and culture make them ensure it. Why do I want your lobby groups and politicians to enforce my faith rather than people’s minds and culture enforcing it by default? What is the purpose of your dominance? When Jesus can dominate the hearts and minds of people, why do you want to dominate politics? What is that political control can give you that mind control by the lord cannot give you? The issue is the issue of having little faith.

 

The problem emanates from two sources. First, most faithful in the West are losing the war for minds and hearts, so they are organizing themselves for the political protection of their faith. This is like using a sleeping pill. It helps for a while but will take your sleep from you in the end. Politics will protect your faith in the short run but will kill your faith in the end. At this point, it is clear that they have to use the pill as they are addicted to it. If they lose the politics, nightmare and social prison will be their reward to give them sleepless nights. The devil will hunt them to destroy their faith every time and everywhere. I hope the lord can move them from their effort to dominate politics to Jesus’ control of people’s spirits. Second, some people are simply hungry for political power and they can even sell Jesus for it.  

 

The issue of economic power, the other dominance, is another absurdity of our age. Those are expressed in the form of promoting economic dominance of the faithful over others. They say the faithful should economically dominate others. “You are hungry and there are stones, turn them into bread”. Is this not very simple and common sense-based advice of a “nice” advisor? Yet, there is nothing nice about this advice. The most evil expression of this tendency, however, takes the form of miracle money. Let me start with the second point, so I can focus more on the first point. 

  

I do not think miracle money is the way of the lord. Lord can feed 5000 from 5 fishes or 3 breads; he is the almighty, alpha, and omega. Yet lord also knows this process will collect people who follow him because they get free lunch not because they love his way. I am sure the lord will prefer 11 disciples, who follow him even when he makes no sense, than 5000 people who follow him because of miracle fish and miracle bread. Jesus is not about growth only. It is quality growth that matters. The nature of miracle money does not grow quality disciples like Angels of light in heaven. I am sure Angels in heaven do not understand the lord sometimes. Who can understand perfection while being imperfect? That is why sometimes 1/3 of their energy is used to cover their eye (who can see in the light of the lord), 1/3 of their energy is used to cover their ignorance (shame), and 1/3 of their energy is used to do their normal function. They do not depend on what they know, in the process; they depend on lords’ knowledge with full faith in proclaiming lord is holy, day in and day out. Miracle money does not create those angels on earth. It creates people who will abandon the lord and his ways when things do not seem right to them. 

 

Besides, economics is not an issue for the lord because the lord is not the lord of scarcity. Let me use a very common sense example to explain what is obvious. If you can make all the right moves in your business decision, how rich you will be? If the lord can shield you from crisis and shocks by making you make the right moves, how much wealth will you have? If sickness, disease, natural disaster, wars, and so on are kept away from you and nature is organized perfectly to favor you, how much wealth will you have? See if you are okay with the lord, the world is okay with you. This is a gift from God and your role is to love the lord with your whole heart and mind and to love your fellow faithful brother (sister) unconditionally. Simply if you have love of the lord and your brother (sister), better if you are perfect as your heavenly father is perfect, you will have the grace of God and also wealth, as long as it is the will of God to grace you with wealth. Sometimes lord says, I will send your children to slavery so I can show them my might. Lord can make you blind for 38 years to open your eyes for his glory. I am sure it was the will of God to make himself and his disciples poor to make us rich in everything. Lord sometimes can take you to the Promised Land not in the short way, through the Sinai desert, but in the long way, to the Red Sea. Knowing you are going to go to the Promised Land does not mean you know the way of the lord for you. I know many of you say: “You know the will of God”. Yet, this is like my kid knows my will is to buy him this and that. Grow up, infants! It is in your best interest to grow up. I say to you, if the lord wills it, economics is not an issue. 

 

If the lord wills, God will bless you. Since this is a gift from God, it shows God is Holy and you are in debt. The one who gives is more holy than the one who receives as it is written. If your brother or sister, for whatever reason, is not blessed by God and s/he still keeps his/her faith right, s/he is blessed. Blessed are the poor because the lord forgives them fast, listens to their prayer fast, and is satisfied with their small work. Less is given to them and less is expected from them. Yet, you are in debt. More is given to you and more is expected from you. It is up to you to support the lord’s work and to be the keeper of your brother and sister. Otherwise, you know the way of the lord is a double-edged sword, it cuts both ways. 

 

Now let me ask a silly question: what is the way to wealth? The way to wealth is to be obedient to the lord before wealth and to pay your debt with obedience after wealth. You are blessed by the Holy Lord and you have debt to the Holy Lord and his poor children, as a result. Remember the Lord who blesses you by residing inside you is also in your poor brother's body. When they are hungry, the lord’s temple is hungry, lord is literary hungry. When they are in prison, lord temple is in prison, lord is literary in prison. When your brother begs you, lord’s temple is begging you, lord is literary begging you. Lord is looking for your hand out and help, literary, as the spirit of the suffering person and the spirit of the lord are one. My question is: what is your response to the hand which feeds you? If you don’t love, honor, and protect the visible temple of the lord, how can you love the lord you don’t see? Your destination is hell and suffering is in your way in this life. If you do not respect the building of the lord that you can see, how can you respect the lord you do not see? See how the Orthodox and Catholic respect their church building? Your temple is your brother’s and sister’s body as the spirit of the lord lives there, so honor, love, and support them! 

 

All the favor of the lord happen because you are born again in spirit and you see from God’s eye, think from God’s brain, and make move with God’s wisdom and this is sustained because you grow in spirit to be more and more united with the lord in thinking and behavior. Now let me ask a foolish question again: how do you sustain your wealth? How do the poor get their protection from their brother? How do churches sustainably finance themselves? The answer is simple, more and more have to be born again in spirit and they have to grow spiritually toward the lord. The answer is not bad economic theory or organizational theory. The answer is the way of the lord. Have faith. You little faith, look to the flowers and grass of the field, who do you think provides for them? Seek the kingdom of God and everything else will be added to you.

 

Lord has to dominate mind and society, and through them governments. Lord said dominance is mine in heaven and earth, and this is true because it is written. If Jesus dominates politics, politics becomes holy politics; if Jesus dominates business, business becomes holy business; if Jesus dominates life, life becomes holy life. It is adding salt to all foods made in the world and light to all darkness to make them perfect. It is not making the faithful cry about money and power, it is making the rich and powerful cry about Jesus. We do not see the rich and powerful cry about Jesus, what we see is the faithful in churches crying about money and power. Your way, you infants in spirit, is upside down and it is the way of the devil, not Jesus. Focusing on saving souls and on promoting the spiritual growth of the faithful and everything will be added to you. Now you want to make the focus of churches on everything rather than on the kingdom of the lord. 

 

There is a difference between taking Jesus to business and taking business to Jesus. All politicians, business people, intellectuals, and professionals should be born again and live under the umbrella of the lord. This will add salt and light to everything they do. They are human beings and like every human being will serve the lord in their life and work. You will have no power at last but lord will have more souls and more power at his disposal. Lord will live inside their heart, they will be connected in spirit with the lord and they will be guided by the Holy Spirit. What more do you need? If it is about the lord, this is enough and the lord knows how to use them. If it is about you, that is another problem. The devil will give you all power in this world if you bow to him. Yet I advise you otherwise. To bring Jesus to all life is not the same as bringing business and politics to church. You don’t bring shady business people to church, you don’t bring sinful political powers to church, and you don’t bring any sin to church. Whether they are with power or without power, your role is to find the lost sheep and take them to their father. Then help the lord for their spiritual growth so they can be like Jesus. Their leader is one, Jesus, and he knows how to use them then after.

 

Faith is what is missing when you look for dominance. Do you need economic resources? Have faith! Do you need political support to build the temple? Have faith! Lord will provide the protection and the resources because his hands have never been short. Ask Moses, the lord can find meat for hundreds of thousands of people in the middle of the desert. The lord simply can. When you try to organize politics and business for the church, you are dancing with devils and what you are bringing to the church is sin. Our mission is simple, find lost sheep, teach them, make sure they are born again, help them to grow spiritually toward the lord, and let the lord perfect them and use them for his glory.
