See yourself as an Angel of God to the Jewish people
One of the main historical and contemporary errors of the historical “churches” and contemporary born-again churches is always concerning their relationship with the Jewish people. At one point they used to hunt them like foxes and despise them as outcasts of the lord. A fool who thinks they should live in poverty but not be killed was a kind of guardian angel to them, as he was the least evil of the evil “church”. It is a sin to hunt them or to keep them in poverty because we are supposed to love everyone, enemy, and friend, let alone seeds of Jacob. We win them through love, toward love not by hate of the devil. Our darkness cannot defeat their darkness. When the light of the “church”, however, is nothing but darkness, it can only glorify darkness. You cannot give what you don’t have and a dark “church” cannot shine the light of the lord.
At another point in time, the contemporary born-again churches are forgetting that we worship God, not the Jewish people. We are Jesus’s own, and we should behave, in all our lives, in a way that is consistent with the teaching of Jesus. The way of Jesus is love of enemy and friend, not idol worship. The only Jew who is God to us is Jesus Christ. I am an ambassador of Jesus, not of the Jewish people. I don’t defend everything they do as right, because they are not God. I defend anything said or done by Jesus because Jesus is God.
The choice to worship them versus to
hunt them, therefore, is a false dichotomy. I neither hunt them nor worship
them, but unconditionally love and conditionally support them so they can
accept Jesus as lord. Think of yourself as an Angel who watches a lost sheep of
the lord. The lost sheep is God’s own, so you look after the sheep, protect it,
and try to guide it to the house of the lord. If the sheep run away toward the
jungle, you pick a stick and chase it, as any good shepherd does. You don’t praise
the lost sheep by saying that whatever the lost sheep do is the will of God
because the sheep is God’s own. Yes, the sheep is God’s lost sheep that you
must guide back home, but still, it is just a lost sheep, not an idol that you
must worship.
Of course, you don’t expect the Jew to
be like Jesus, just like that. You don’t expect them to turn the other cheek.
You understand wild sheep behave like wild sheep. The problem is who are you?
Are you worshiping the Jewish people or representing Jesus as an ambassador to
the world and especially to the Jewish people? Your role is to protect the lost
sheep of the lord and to guide them to the house of the lord. They are lost in
the desert of disobedience, you are the cloud of the day and the fire of the
night which guides them to the promised land with honey and milk, Jesus Christ.
Yet you are behaving like their tail and you just follow them wherever they go
and you never stop glorifying their sinful ways. False prophets of the Jewish
people used to do that. Yet, you belong to the lord. This behavior is beneath
you, therefore.
Yes, you have to be careful in how you
deal with wild sheep, especially with wild sheep like the Jewish people. Since
they walk in darkness, as they don’t have the light of the lord, they can
easily lose their way and could be aggressive against Jesus and his ways. Yet
you should be the light at the end of the tunnel that guides them out of
darkness, not a fool who glorifies all their darkness and good dead. The Jewish
people could be wrong, tell them they are wrong and show them the light at the
end of the tunnel. They are not Jesus; you don’t have to worship them and
glorify whatever they do.
Imagine if you are working yourself
toward Jesus through a spiritual growth process. Your mind is set on learning
the way of Jesus, so you can imitate him. That implies loving your enemy,
praying for those who hunt you, supporting those who attack you, feeding those
who try to kill you, and all the things Jesus is doing to the Jewish people,
who hate him. Given this fact, how is it possible for you to glorify the way of
the Jewish people as always just and right? The Jewish people are neither
always right nor always just. Yet Jesus is always right and always just. So
worship the lord, and tell the world Jesus is always right. The Jews are right
when they are consistent with Jesus and wrong when they are inconsistent with
Jesus. Either wrong or right, however, you should protect them without
protecting their sin. You don’t justify the evil did of your kids, you just
love your kids unconditionally without justifying their sins.
You are the messenger of God to the
Jewish people. You are on the right side of Jesus who stands on the right side
of the heavenly father. As everything that belongs to the heavenly father
belongs to Jesus, everything that belongs to Jesus belongs to you. You don’t
need a blessing of the lost and uncircumcised wild sheep, Jews or otherwise, to
be blessed by God. Do the will of God, and whatever the lord has is yours. We
have to serve the lost sheep of the lord including the Jewish people not to be
blessed by the lost sheep but to obey the will of the lord. Let us remember
that the only Jew that we worship is the Lord Jesus Christ.
