Who is the highest in the kingdom of God?

One of the great tricks of the devil against the 12 disciples of the lord was the status competition that he created among them. That is why the disciples of the lord keep asking Jesus who is the highest in the Kingdom of God and some even request the highest position in the kingdom of heaven, so they can sit in the right and left side of the lord. Those things pained the lord the most. Jesus told them, the devil asked to scatter you like the wind but I prayed for your sake. So it was wise of Paul to say “I don’t know about myself, but lord knows” rather than competing with his less in-status brother. Paul was clear in the fact that if you are given something, it is not wise to brag about it like you are not given. In the kingdom of heaven, you don’t compete for the higher seat; you compete for the highest work and sacrifice. You don’t compete for the highest rank, but you will compete to die on the cross first. Look to heaven and who is the highest of children of God, Jesus is. Yet, J...

Beyond connecting dots and conspiracy theory is knowledge

The intersection between conspiracy theory, police investigation, philosophy, and science is the work of connecting dots to create a consistent theory or idea. Connecting dots is easy, and theory is cheap. Any fool can connect dots in a million ways but truth is one. This is why we have millions of conspiracy theories, though the truth is one. Conspiracy theory is playing ground for fools and I guess we have several fools in this world, in general, and in religious circles around the world, in particular. Yet I am not concerned about the dead, what worries me the most is that the living ones, the born-again faithful, are also drinking this dirty water of Babylon. Knowledge is more than connecting dots, as you need to establish your theory is right while all potential explanations are wrong. Even science cannot establish this with certainty that is why science is always open to change. What science did is impose a scientific way which can increase the possibility ...

Heavenly Mission over Social Mission

The main mission of the Assembly of the lord is not a sociopolitical mission. Jesus did not send us to fight injustice, Jesus did not send us to eliminate poverty, Jesus did not send us to promote local development, and definitely, our mission is not to establish and run NGOs. Yes, poverty and injustice are evil, but not as evil as not having the spirit of the lord, not as evil as eternal hell, and not as evil as a life of sin. Our mission is to save people from hell and to open their God-given right to join the kingdom of heaven through the blood of Jesus and faith in the Lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once they join, they have to stay there with a spiritual growth process that grants them full discipleship of the lord.   Our mind first and foremost, therefore, should focus on saving the lost souls and making them disciples of the lord, not in name but in life. This means they have to be born in spirit, the fruit of the spirit should grow in them (holiness not wealth), a...

We don’t justify ourselves

None of us is saved by our holiness, as our holiness is damnation cloth. Even when we do what is holy, our holiness is nothing but a very tiny island of holiness in an ocean of sin, which is our life. Our work is never holy and will never be holy and that is why we are made holy through grace by faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. This is why we don’t preach ourselves, or any man of God. We preach the perfect lord from heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ. We don’t say we are without sin, but the lord is without sin. We don’t justify ourselves, but we witness the justification of the Lord Jesus Christ, who justifies us by grace through faith.   We don’t debate our perfection; we witness the perfection of the lord. A person who is born in spirit cannot live in sin but can sin. We are not perfect, but we are becoming perfect. God is being perfect, we are becoming perfect. We are evolving to perfection, and God is the perfection that we seek. That is why we don’t honor our imperfection,...

Renewing the temple of the lord

Many of us do agree that love and cooperative culture in assemblies of the lord is not at its best. The good question is: how do we correct and rebuild it back? We can get angry about it, we can teach about it, we can rebuke the assembly, and we can simply say it is a sign of the end of the world. The fact, however, is that we can only rebuild it by noticing how it was built in the first place.   People who joined assembles of the lord were not saints; they were sinful people like most of us were/are. Yet a faithful planted the small seed of faith from the kingdom of God in the heart of those lost souls and the heavenly father grew it to the green shade that we call our assemblies. Those faithful did not change people around them by pointing their finger at their failure. People from around the world do stumble into sin, hate, and revenge because they are in darkness. The simple fact, however, is that you don’t change them by pointing your finger at them.   If...

It is a second chance not an affirmation of our sin

There was a time when God was disappointed with the house of David, starting with King Solomon and his children, as they became idol worshipers, disobedient, and unjust. As a result, God decided to take all the children of Jacob, except two tribes, from the house of David. This was to avoid the suppression of Israel by ignorance of the house of David so the people should know God is just God, not an unjust ruler as the house of David was becoming after Solomon. After all, it was ordered to the first king of Israel, by God through Samuel, that the king should not take the people back to the slavery of Egypt by having a large number of chariots for himself.   For the house of David, it was punishment for their disobedience, idol worship, and sin. If the house of David loved the lord with their full heart, mind, and soul to be obedient to the will of the lord and to love their people, as David was, the lord himself could have made them just and wise rulers. After all, the Wisdom of So...
