Beyond connecting dots and conspiracy theory is knowledge

   

The intersection between conspiracy theory, police investigation, philosophy, and science is the work of connecting dots to create a consistent theory or idea. Connecting dots is easy, and theory is cheap. Any fool can connect dots in a million ways but truth is one. This is why we have millions of conspiracy theories, though the truth is one. Conspiracy theory is playing ground for fools and I guess we have several fools in this world, in general, and in religious circles around the world, in particular. Yet I am not concerned about the dead, what worries me the most is that the living ones, the born-again faithful, are also drinking this dirty water of Babylon.

Knowledge is more than connecting dots, as you need to establish your theory is right while all potential explanations are wrong. Even science cannot establish this with certainty that is why science is always open to change. What science did is impose a scientific way which can increase the possibility of discovering the truth. It demanded that new theories to be consistent with existing knowledge and facts, unless they are challenging it with evidence, and it demands predictions to be made that could be tested with empirical evidence. This independent process of testing allows the inductive process of slowly converging to the truth. Science works because it is more than good theory.

 

This is why science is able to overdone philosophy and philosophy is forced to retreat to the periphery of knowledge, while science takes the central role. What I am writing is philosophy of knowledge (metaphysics) and we can see philosophy is useful, but cannot be central and foundational to knowledge of this world. The problem is that the end of philosophy is skepticism, which is the case unless you have to make unfounded assumptions that will lead you to make your own favored outcomes as philosophy. This means you can express your passion as knowledge, and as philosophy but it cannot be objective knowledge. That is why philosophy was not able to go that far in use.

 

This is why God did not say, you know me by reason or knowledge. Only God himself can make you know him. You don’t pick God, he picks you. Imagine a newborn baby, how can he know his parents? Can a kid know his parents by himself? No his parents who know him, make known themselves to him. There is a limit to our knowledge and our knowledge cannot know God. Yet a kid after knowing his parents, because the parents made themselves known to him by their work around him, may run to the street. The kid may run after the outlaws in the street, after knowing his parents, and his parents can leave him alone, because he doesn’t listen, to have a life of misery in the street. Yet a child, unless his parents made themselves known to him, cannot know his parents. This is so as there is a limit to our knowledge.

 

We can connect dots to build a theory, but knowledge is making sure your theory is right and all other theories are wrong. Knowledge is much more complex and hard to attain than conspiracy theory. This is why God comes to our hearts to guide us to all truth. God is truth, and he does not let us wander in search of truth in maize of confusion, he leads us to the truth. Science is an effective way of searching the way through a trial and error process. If you have no guide, that is the best you can do. But when you have the one who builds the road itself, it is wise to follow his lead to all truth. The way of heaven is a way of perfection, and the way of science is a way of trial and error. 

 

On this foundation, two problems that I want to focus on are problems of science toward God, and conspiracy theories among the faithful. Let me start with science. Let us imagine in some Latin American country a socialist government faced a rebellion of the people and the US embassy showed admiration for the resistance. Then the economy of that country started to collapse, and the government ended up in complete disarray. Then revolution happens and the far-right government takes power and reestablishes a pro-American government. What do you think happened? You can think first the people revolt and USA support happen then after. But it is equally possible it is cooked by the USA. Both are possible theories that have to be refuted by evidence.

 

Now imagine history and if we assume there is God, who is almighty and all-knowing, and if things happen, is it irrational to assume that things are happening as planned by God? Or is it more rational to assume God is following evolution to imitate local reality? Say if the birth of Caesar was declared good news, gospel, before Jesus was revealed to the world, you could say Christians adopted the Jewish religion to the world around them in an evolutionary sense. This is true if God is not real. If God is real, however, things that happen in advance are prepared to open the way that follows. If the world starts speaking one language before the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is because God planned it, in advance. God did not learn Greek, God made Greek a global language for the gospel's sake. If Rome built roads and security, it is for the gospel's sake. This is a more plausible explanation if you assume there is an almighty and all-knowing God who plans everything, in advance.  

 

If we accept the assumption that “God is an illusion” as truth, then your explanation that Christianity is nothing but a Jewish religion adapted to Roman culture is an acceptable theory. If we accept there is an almighty God who plans everything, in advance, however, all your evidence shows the existence of everything is planned for the sake of the Gospel. After all, nobody will like new wine after being adapted to old wine. Nobody wanted to change in his culture and tradition, so it is easy to plant roads for God in all cultures and traditions, as preparation for the gospel. After all, all good everywhere is from God. If Moses grows with rulers, it is for a purpose. If Moses learned the way of the desert first, it is for a purpose. By the same logic, if the Greek tradition and religion were destroyed in advance before the gospel, it is not a random event, it is a preplanned work for the gospel. The old wine has to be rejected before people can test new wine from heaven without disgust. In general, if you want to predict the future, where there is free will which can affect the future in limitless ways, you have to make the future happen. God plans and makes everything happen as planned, given our free will, and that is why God knows the future with certainty despite we are having free will.

 

So in theory either evolution or grand design could be right. Which theory stands firm depends on our assumption about the existence of the almighty and all-knowing God. If we assume almighty and all-knowing God does not exist, your theory is plausible, otherwise, it is a naive idea. As small knowledge is dangerous, you may feel your correlation proves your main assumption that God does not exist as truth, but it is nothing but circular reasoning. Your method cannot prove the truthfulness or falseness of God, as you do not have a method that can objectively test it. Any claim otherwise is a reflection of your ignorance. If you think otherwise, I recommend you logic 101.  

 

Now let me focus on the problem of faith, which is even affecting very smart and highly faithful people. Bad companion destroys good manners and I guess they have bad companions in the West. We the faithful do not connect dots for life to know truth; we follow the light of the Holy Spirit. If God is with us, who can be against us? We do not connect dots; the dots are connected in front of our eyes. Wisdom is from God because we have the heart of Jesus. If there was work of the devil in front of us and if we should focus on it, the spirit of the truth, the Holy Spirit, could alarm us about it all the time. Not your dots of ignorance, but God himself will fight for us and will open our eyes.

 

We have conspiracy theories about a million things. How many of them are from the Holy Spirit? How many of them did God tell us so? There is an eclipse, we cry the end of the world. We even have math which is modified to give certain results, and endless foolishness. I could tell you it is easy to get anything from anything with proper assumptions, but you will not understand it. What you do is not knowledge, it is a joke. But let me ask: how much of this “knowledge” is from God? Did ever Jesus tell you about it? Did Jesus tell you that the specific eclipse is a sign of the end of the world? There are countless eclipses, which one is the sign? There is AI, then you run your mouth about 666. A chip is put in the minds of people for medical reasons, you cry world domination is started. Why? Because you connected dots. That is a cheap theory, as any fool can connect the dots in a million ways. You are not a fool, but you are a friend of fools and we know what bad companions do to you. Pray toward God to open your eye of wisdom, don’t follow the fools in the West.

 

Let me ask another question, how many percent of the bible is about the devil? What is the reason God did not focus too much on the devil but on the light of God? Because God gives us what we need the most. When people lose their way because they do not understand the devil, God starts adding the devil to the picture and that is to a very limited extent. Otherwise, God focuses on the way of light not on the darkness, because what we need is the light and every darkness will retreat then after. But, why is all your talk about the devil and his works? Have you seen one, have you talked to one, and do you have any knowledge more than anyone that can make you an expert on the devil and his government?

      

Look at the books of Catholics and Orthodox, the devil is a big player in their books. All their stories have large junk of stories about acts of the devil, but not the bible. Paul, Peter, John, and Jesus did not speak much about the devil, they focused on the light, not on the darkness. What makes you too focused on darkness more than light? Three potential explanations are 1) you may be losing the holy spirit in your life 2) you have bad companions and culture that remove you from the truth 3) the recent Israel-Hamas war and world reaction toward it is moving you toward your conspiracy theory. What you should have done is look toward heaven for heavenly guidance, and pray for the lord to show you the way forward rather than running with pigs and dogs in their conspiracy theories. Ask yourself why is your thoughts and focus less consistent with the bible but it is highly consistent with heretical books of Orthodox and Catholics. It is because it is water from the river of Babylon.

 

We do not see devils, but God does. Who is in a better position to fight them? Why do you focus on things you don’t understand rather than on things you can change? Jesus did not need people who fight darkness being blindfolded, he needs workers who preach his gospel and who exemplify his gospel by living according to the word of God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is why the bible is less vocal about the devil but more vocal about God and his ways. The armies of the lord are at work so you can focus on the gospel, so focus on the gospel.

 

We grew in Orthodox culture and their fairy tales. We do not reject it because it is written in Geez but because it is a fairy tale. That is why a fairy tale written in English is still a fairy tale. Can you imagine, how many bright minds can reject the faith because of your ignorance? For argument's sake let us say you could be right, and I could be wrong. But how do you know the truth? Should not the Holy Spirit affirm it? Should not the spirit of God speak everywhere to watch out? Should not God consistently affirm this line in many temples of the lord? Your ignorance is a passion for you, but it is a snare for the faith. In a place where the gentiles and the faithful are separating you are snare to the faith. Your way doesn’t speak to the superiority of the faithful over the world, it shows ignorance. This will not allow the mountain of God to rise about all mountains, because your ignorance is a net of ignorance fettering the mountain of the lord from rising above all mountains. Like the supplementary books of Orthodox and Catholics don’t promote the kingdom of God, your conspiracy is reflecting your ignorance to the world and you are becoming a snare to the faith.
