Jesus pays our bill

 

Freedom is the precious thing in the lost world, where wisdom-less people live their lives without wisdom and die without wisdom in a life of vanity because they reject the wisdom of God. Wisdom has been knocking on their door to collect them under his wings and he did shout in the high places to lead them to light, but they lack wisdom to know wisdom. They lack the light of the heavenly father to know that the Lord Jesus is the wisdom of God who is calling everyone to salvation. Without the wisdom of God, therefore, they live in vanity and die in vanity, working 24/7 for food that never lasts, and running after the unsustainable happiness of this illusionary world.

 

We are not slaves of freedom, but slaves of wisdom and his name is Jesus Christ. As a donkey knows his owner, and an ox his master, we know the hand which feeds us and his name is the Lord Jesus Christ. As we don’t pay our bills, we don’t live in vanity of human freedom, as fools of this world. Besides, as the world does not pay our bills, we do not sell what is worldly. We sell the hand which sustains us, the back which carries us, the shield which protects us, and the sword which fights for us, and his name is the lord Jesus Christ.

  

What interests us is Jesus. What makes us sing is Jesus. What makes us proud is Jesus. What we want to see is Jesus and nothing but Jesus. Our faith is not about prosperity, not about power, not about popularity, not about relationships, friendship, or anything else but faith in the fact that Jesus is the perfect God, who came to pay for our sins and perfect us, as he is perfect, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our faith is in the lordship of the lord.

 

As a fly is attracted to dirt, and a bee is attracted to flowers, the being that takes over our existence is the lord Jesus Christ as we have his seed in us. We love to be around Jesus, his teaching, his life, and born again faithful who share his seed. When we listen to any preaching, we are scanning for the seed of Jesus in the pipeline. When we are united with others in worship and life, the unity we seek is not unity of blood and flesh but unity of spirit under Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our interest is not for the fool and blind around us to lead us, the blind, toward the cliff but for Jesus to shepherd us in his eternal Sunday. Our interest is Jesus and we are not attracted to the weed of the devil, as a bee is not attracted to dirt, because that is the seed of the enemy and we are the spiritual seed of Jesus, and the faith of Abraham.  

 

If your mind is not set on Jesus but the world, you could be either lost sheep of the lord, weed of the devil, or child of the world. What we can do is feed you, from the lord’s grain stored in us. Though we are worthless slaves, our master is prosperous enough in his words to make his word overflow from us toward his sheep. That is why we boost on the lord, and we cannot stop to shout Holy, Holy, and Holy lord Jesus Christ, who is in heaven as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In this process, we hope the lost sheep listen to us; while knowing that the worldly will see us as foolish; and the devil’s own will fight God in trying to fight us in vanity.

 

We do not organize, mobilize, and fight for dominance like children of the devil and the world. No! We sleep like babies knowing that heaven is fighting our fight. If you fight God to fight his children and we will watch to see if you can win against God. What are the odds, dear? What we do is teach the word and try to live by it, hoping all of us, including us, can be better people over time. In the Kingdom of Heaven, we are a department of speaking the world and living the word. We are not defense minister, finance minister, and so on. That is God’s and his angels' department, as he is the almighty God with his countless army.

 

Dear, you need to understand that the kind of peace the lord gives, to the real faithful, is not the kind of peace that the world gives. That is why when you organize, mobilize, and start striking with your arrow made of grass and straw against the shield of God around us, the human us just want to buy popcorn to watch a funny movie. But the Jesus in us will remind us to pray for your safety, as we have to be keepers of our lost brothers and even those dogs and pigs of the devil. Yet we will never give what is holy to dogs and pigs, who are trying to destroy what is holy first and to run over us then after. We keep our faith and our relationship with God in our hearts, and we will pray for all the lost souls. After all, what is the worth of a man, whose breath is in his nostril? Why is a human being counted as anything after all?

 

As Moses was scared when God says I will not be with you, the only thing scary is when God is not with us. If God is with us, however, who can be against us? Since Jesus pays our bill, our customer and king is Jesus. We treat him like a king, therefore. That is why we keep saying Jesus this and Jesus that. That is why we do not have to say bless you with this or that, 24/7, to the congregation to feed our children. We rebuke the congregation in the name of the lord to return them to Jesus, because Jesus is paying the bill, dear. The only master who can tell us what to do and say is the lord Jesus Christ. You can check our ears for the hole as we are slaves of God for eternity. As we are slaves of the lord, and our ear is marked, it is not possible for another master to rule us. Because Jesus is the one who pays our bill, dear. We have no other master except God, as we are slaves of light.

 

We are sure our life is better, stable, joyful, prosperous, and peaceful with Jesus, though we have a lot to grow in spirit and behavior to be like him, but our relationship with God is not about health and wealth. We hope God gives us a decent life and a healthy life, but what we fear to lose the most is Jesus. If we are sick, we are happy we are sick while Jesus watching over us. If we are healthy, we are happy because Jesus keeps us healthy. Our happiness is not health or wealth, but Jesus. As we are happy to receive his blessing, we are also respectful to praise him when we lose things here and there like Jobs did. What is precious to us is Jesus, and this is the holy faith we cannot toss in the feet of pigs and dogs to buy toys of infants for childish games of this earth.

 

Look at the state of the faith around the world and in this region of Africa. What do you see? The fact is that it is shameful to notice that the faith which is led by the Holy Spirit is becoming another worldly human religion. The quality of the “born again” faithful around the world, including us, is mostly nothing but a sham and counterfeit. That is why we say let us grow together toward Jesus, we and you. If we focus on our region of Africa, older assemblies of the lord, after falling into the hands of worldly leaders who push the Holy Spirit out, are trying to imitate the Samaria of Christianity as a model of assembly of faithful. I guess misery loves company. After pushing the Holy Spirit out, they just want to be friendly with those (Samaria) who pushed the Holy Spirit out, centuries ago. They want religious dominance, power, and respect; nothing but earthly trash because they had been growing toward trash.  

 

On the other side, those who are chased out, without a biblical understanding of the identity of Jesus and his will, are selling earthly religion of spiritual materialism of health and wealth as the will of God. The result is mass production of “faithful” which are worldly in ambition and sinful in character. God by taking his power of the Holy Spirit from the old, and by showing the evil and ungodly fruit of the new did prove himself, while disproving all sides, including us. We all are wrong proves that God is always truthful. This is because all our failures, as a person or as group, can be traced to our deviation from the commandment of God. The old and the new failed because they rejected the commandment of God, the commandment of the Lord.

 

It is also clear that there are weeds of devil in, both the old and the new, born-again assemblies of faithful. Yet we do also know there is much larger wheat of God lost in the middle of the dominating weed, in both the new and the old. That is why we did not insist on labeling this or that but on feeding the word, so the old can receive the Holy Spirit back and the new can learn the word of God. For that, we have to take the world out of both, the old and the new, and we have to replace it with Jesus. We expect that the weed will self-separate as there is no unity between light and darkness, between the temple of God and the devil, and between heaven and earth.  

 

In this process, old man if you tell me that you have fruit from old age, I tell you the fact that if the holy sins, his holiness is void. If you tell me the young sin, I tell you if the sinner repents he is holy. The young: if you tell me you have powers, I tell you spiritual power is judged by its fruit. Fruit of the spirit are disciples of Jesus, who spiritually grow to be like Jesus. If your production does not look like Jesus, at least it does not grow toward him, it is evil fruit. Your fruit is justification for your sins. Do not tell me a car, headcount, building, or companies as your fruit, dear this is not economics that I study for bread, tell me: how many head counts do you produce that imitate Jesus in word and life? Look to Jesus and his fruit, who are his disciples. How many Peter, Paul, John, and Jacob (brother of John) do you produce? That is the fruit we know. I am not saying fruits who imitate you, but Jesus. I am not saying build people in your image but in the image of Jesus. Standing upon your achievement, they have to grow further toward Jesus.

 

What we are shouting is a second chance for both sides, because we are the result of countless second chances by the grace of God. But, why us? It is because we are the least deserving. We have nothing to boost around so we boost on the lord only. If it was one of you, it would mean one of you is right, when none of you is right. As the fall of Israel is a good luck for the world, your failure is a good luck for us, the undeserving. So we are shouting loud to reconcile you with God. We are telling you to change your ways and move to the narrow path of the lord, as the path which takes to hell is wide and comfortable, but the path to salvation is narrow and many will not find it. If you do not listen, however, we tell you, your blood is not on our hand because we told you so. What can a man do more than this? 

Now imagine Jeremiah standing in the temple and shouting for repentance, and the temple leaders telling him that he needs their consent to do so. I guess, as they ask John “Why do you baptize?” and as they question Jesus “Who gave you this authority?”, all Pharisees are similar children of the same viper, repeating the same foolishness. To advise you with love and respect is one thing, so you should not stumble by our sin, to have your permission, however, is a foolish joke of a dull mind. God did not fix the sun to rise and set by human permission. There is a reason why God did not give people power over the sun. God’s design has reason because God knows the heart of man and the devil is always evil. There is also a reason why God did not use anyone to set his fire on the sun. He is avoiding you to rebuke you for your good.
