A blind cannot lead a blind

As it is written, if I saw evil in your life and I don’t remind you about it, your blood will be in my hand; but if I remind you, I am pure from your blood. This is true no matter what you decide to do afterward. You could say I will not listen to you but God. That is your free will. After all, the lord did not order me to teach you this either. I do so because I can. I do it to be on the safe side of the lord. Because it is written some pastors do not know they are pastors of the lord. That being said, in this post, I will focus on a few popular fallacies, given the church is being invaded by several human fallacies.

 

The first fallacy says: that we know the will of God. The very essence of this idea is that God is good, especially to faithful and the implication is that the will of God toward us is health, wealth, prosperity, good life, and Eden (happiness). This is like an immature child knowing the will of his father. The kid claims the will of his father is to buy him cookies, cakes, soft drinks, toys, and everything he wishes. It is a sign of serious spiritual immaturity.

 

God is good like every good father is. Yet God, like any good father, is raising children to maturity, and spoiling children with everything is not a way to raise them in his image. The primary purpose of God is to raise you in his image or in the image of Jesus, to be specific. Yet, you are a highly imperfect being, given you are not only an immature child but also a bad child. You are not only spiritually immature but also out of a sinful world in which sin is your nature.

 

Imagine you have a lost and found child, who is lost and who lived as a street kid for many years, as a result, before he is found. This kid is not only a child in mindset but also a tug in character. How do you raise him? I guess in his immature tug nature he will say my fathers and mothers are rich and powerful and I will have it all just like that. What does it benefit to the family or to the kid to give money, car, and limitless resources to this kid? It brings gangster out of him and will only make him nothing but rich tug. Yet as this boy becomes more mature and more polished in character, what is that this family will restrain from him? He is their kid, after all.

 

Now imagine from what kind of life the lord found us. Or imagine in what kind of character the lord found the Jew in Egypt. Lord wants to take them to the Promised Land but lord did not choose the easy way out but the long way out. Why? To shape them right as it is written. Lord is more concerned with shaping you right as spirit is more important than flesh. Sometimes shaping you right cannot happen in Eden, sometimes it happens in the desert. What do you think is the fight between Jews in the desert and God? They want Eden but the lord wants children. Who do you think is right?

 

My point is not about promoting poverty, sickness, suffering, or a bad life for the faithful. Let alone a fellow faithful, even the enemies of the faith should not suffer but should be saved to the kingdom of the lord with health and wealth. My problem is the issue of priority. I should focus on the kingdom of God and the lord should give me the rest as the lord sees it fit. If I want something seriously, I should pray hard and as it is written lord should grant my wish if the lord wills it. The problem is that the churches are focusing on the gift of salvation rather than salvation itself. The problem is churches are focusing on material things and the comfort of the flesh more than building the house of the Holy Spirit. Which is more important, the body or the spirit? Which is more important: cleaning the inside of the cup or the outside of the cup?

 

Their preaching, if we can call it preaching at all, is about blessing, wealth, health, and gifts of God, 24/7. Yet we don’t teach about humility, love, charity, and faith and specifically we don’t prepare the faithful with spiritual strength that can allow them to stand firm in dark days. Our preaching is about comfort, health, and wealth, but what happens if the faithful are hunted in the future? Is the spoiled wife to suffer for her children or she is going to boil and eat her infant kids? You are not raising mothers who suffer for their kids; you are raising spoiled ones who ingest their children to satisfy their hunger as it is written.

 

Our difference is that I want to focus on the kingdom of God and on building his house, given I know the lord will build my house as the lord sees fit. I will focus on the spirit, knowing the lord will take care of the flesh as much as the lord wills it. I could be poor or rich, but that is not the issue, what is important is I know the Lord is Lord. My pride is not in anything but in knowing that God is God. How many are given this privilege? Yet I am lucky enough to know God is God and Lord is Lord. I know the lord’s will is good for me, as the lord will give me what I need not what I want. For Saul (Paul) the will of God is to make him suffer for the sake of the Lord’s name, for Jeremiah the will of God is to make him socially isolated and daily attacked for proclaiming the truth of God, for Jesus the will of God is to crucify him for the salvation of many, for Peter the will of God is for Peter to be crucified upside down in cross for the name of the lord. Lord did not give them, except Jesus, what they thought they wanted, the lord gave them what they needed.

 

Another related fallacy is related to their claim that they say God is good and every evil is from the devil. So if you suffer it has nothing to do with God but devil. Their idea, however, is poorly baked and childish. When Moses told the Lord that he was not a fluent speaker to carry the lord’s message, the lord answered him “Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the Lord?” Do you doubt the lord’s word? It is the Lord who said so! Yet, those evils, indirectly, are from the devil not from God. Why? This is because the fall where deaf, dumb, and blind are born is a result of the devil's lie but in heaven there is no such creation. By the devil’s lie, this world is progressing in this miserable form. Lord is making those choices that the lord does not want to make because of Adam’s fall from grace and this world is not a perfect world of the lord.

 

The disciples of Jesus also ask Jesus: “Why is this blind man blind?” and they add: “Is it because of his parents' sin or his sin?” Lord, however, told them, he is not blind of sin but so the glory of the lord can be manifested in him. Lord made him blind to show them his glory. Lord sent the children of Jacob to Egyptian slavery to show them his glory. Lord sent his only child to die for his glory and our salvation. The way of the lord is not about spoiling you but in making you partakers of his life and work, and sometimes the glory of the lord is to die for God and to suffer for the lord’s name. Sometimes, that is your glory.

 

Even when the devil is the direct source of some evils, we have to know that the devil has no power over anything unless the lord allows him. The devil may be organizing an attack. The lord, however, can see into the mind of the devil and can see to the future more than the devil can. Is it not written that the mind of all creation, including the devil given it is a created being, is like transparent glass in the sight of the lord? Do we doubt that the lord can see the future of any choice and action we take? Do we doubt the lord is almighty? Therefore, we can be sure nothing happens without the lord allowing it as it is written. If the devil attacks you, it is because the lord allows it to attack you. It is the will of God. When Job suffers by the hand of the devil, the lord allows it. When Jesus suffered in our hands, the lord allowed it. When Paul is stoned and killed, the lord allows it. When Christians are prosecuted, the lord allows it. This is why Jesus said not even a single bird falls (dies) without the lord knowing it and you are much more worthy than the birds. Even if the lord did not plan some of the sufferings, the lord knows the planning and execution of those evil plans and could stop them at any point, but allow them anyway. Don’t cheery pick some biblical texts to build your fallacy, use all biblical texts. Because you are fooling yourself, after all, you are not fooling the lord.

 

If we are sick, it is the will of God we are sick and if we die, it is the will of God we die. God can see the devil, the virus, the bacteria, or cancer and can control it but allow it anyway. The difference is that we live by the will of God and whatever the Lord wills will happen. The world fears the devil, viruses, bacteria, coronavirus, cancer, and soon, we don’t. This is because we live by the will of the lord, not by the will or power of anything or anybody. Nothing happens without the knowledge of God and God is almighty God, so how can a devil or microorganism do anything to anyone without God allowing it? The devil cannot think without the lord allowing him to think and the mind of the devil is seen like a transplant glass in the eye of the lord. Our lord is all-knowing and almighty, nothing happens without the will of God. Even when evil Cain tries to kill the beloved Abel, the lord does know the evil plan of Cain and allows it anyway. It is the will of God for the evil nature of Cain to be made known and for holy Abel to be collected into the arms of God.

 

The next fallacy says we are called for honor, not poverty, sickness, or suffering. This is another childish idea and it is funny in the 21st century people can even entertain such theology. This is the age of wisdom and it is written at the end of the days wisdom will be multiplied. In this age of wisdom, it is shameful to see churches playing with such childish ideas rather than having detailed knowledge of the bible. Our age is ready to understand the large junk of the bible, we are ready for it, yet we are playing childish theology of immature infants. See you are not better than Jesus. Jesus is the son of God by birth but you are a child of God by adoption. Jesus is a saint and holy by work but you are a saint and holy by grace. You are not given honor which is not given to Jesus because a student could not be better than his teacher. The honor of the lord includes being crucified for our sins, the honor of Paul and John includes suffering for the lord’s name, the honor of Jeremiah includes suffering for the lord’s prophecy, and soon. Your honor is to be a child of the lord and to be part of God’s kingdom. You will participate in whatever heaven wants you to participate in. That is your honor!

 

Your honor is being part of the kingdom of God. As a citizen of the kingdom, you will enjoy a life of the kingdom when it is the right time, you will suffer for the kingdom when it is the right time, and you will prosecuted and hunted for the kingdom if it is the right time, you will be sick for kingdom sake if it is the right time (Paul did this) and you may have easy life if it is right time too. There is time for everything. Your honor is being a child of God. Your honor is not material life, health, or happiness. Wealth may be there or not, health may be there or not, and happiness may be there or not. That is not the most important issue; the most important issue is you know God and you are part of the kingdom of God. You know God. That should be your pride and honor. After all in whatever kind of life you are passing, the comforter, the Holy Spirit, is always in your heart to comfort you in spirit. That is your down payment for your full honor of the future.

 

What is the difference between us? I believe we are soldiers in war and war is not always accompanied by health and wealth. There are good times when the kingdom of God blesses us with health and wealth. Yet, there are also dark times when we may be called to suffer for the kingdom’s sake. Most of the time, our life may be a mixture of both. My interest is to make us soldiers of the lord in good and bad times. You want health and wealth to be your right at all times. Jesus does not even have a shade over his head but you want your faith to be earthly-honorable in all times. My problem is that this will not prepare you for bad times when Jesus calls you to suffer for his name's sake. When the Lord made you suffer for whatever reason, remember the history of Job, your faith will waver because you don’t see honor in your faith but in its comfort only.

 

What is shameful is your motive beyond accepting such theology is simply a selfish motive. The devil, in his wisdom, did stick this simple lie where it can stick well, in your greed and selfish interest. Your mind is readily accepting such stupidity as theology not because they are very strong ideas as they are inevitably stupid ideas. They are not even worth of any intelligent discussion, but you are worth saving. The reason why you accept them is because you want assurance of your way of life. You want to tax 10% of every faithful income and to have a life of luxury in a sea of poverty around you, and you want theological approval for your material way of life. It is not about knowledge or theology; it is about your self-interest. This evil seed is planted in the fertile ground of your self-interest and greed. The problem is the kingdom of God cannot be run into ruin to promote your greedy interests.

Another fallacy is related to the organizational structure and leadership of churches. The book says the church is built on the foundation of prophets and disciples. This means: that prophets are the first witness about the forthcoming of Christ and the disciples are the ones who witness that Jesus is the Christ. The fact that Jesus is raised from the dead, as prophecy says, is only witnessed by the disciples of Jesus. The prophets and disciples, therefore, are the foundations of the church. This does not mean those who are called prophets and disciples are leaders of the church. The leaders of the church are those who are picked by the lord to be leaders of the church. I don’t know what kind of gifts they will have, though I think love is the most important gift they must have. What I know is lord will pick his leaders and will guide them through the Holy Spirit. The church cannot be led by people, who are simply blind, it should be led by Jesus through the Holy Spirit. The way of humans is a blind leading a blind and as we can see all are leading us to the cliff. What we need is the rule of the lord, after all that was the original plan of the lord.

 

The right leadership structure is neither election by majority nor it is the tyranny of prophets and disciples. After all, we do know what kind of bad apples are being produced by such democrats and tyrants. The right leadership structure is the leadership of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, in whatever the lord finds fit. Only God can lead his people and what God needs is his leaders who are picked by himself. It is up to the lord to say I pick the 12, it is up to the lord to pick Paul and Barnabas for the mission of the gentile or to use Paul only, it is up to the lord. What is needed is for the lord to be in charge, not human beings. It is up to the lord to decide how to organize churches and it is up to the lord to lead churches in a way the lord sees fit. The real choice is a choice between churches led by people versus churches led by Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

 

In churches that are led by elders or a democratic process, a bureaucratic mindset and an earthly mindset are destroying the harmony and love of the churches. Worst, in their church politics and bureaucracy, they are oppressing servants of the lord who are elected by the lord for service. The problem is those churches are led by elders and elected officials, but not by Jesus. In the process, they lost their older love for each other and their spiritual gifts with it. This could explain why the lord is giving more and more supernatural gifts outside such cornerstone churches. Their original love is being replaced by church politics and church bureaucracy. They are stifling children of God in their earthly method and what I think is lord is telling them is to return to their original love.

 

From this unfertile soil, kids who run away from such churches become men and women of God with different spiritual gifts. If those kids were smart enough, they should be humble enough to learn the right theology under the feet of those elders even under uncomfortable conditions. Why? This is because we all have to fulfill the law. Even Jesus, the sinless man, has to wash his nonexistent sins in water. Those kids, if they were smart would learn under the feet of those fathers in humility and tolerance. It is not about anointing, the lord can anoint you as the lord anointed Moses without any man’s help, but about spiritual development and theological preparation.

 

Those kids were not smart enough and they found a way to get quick anointment without adequate spiritual growth and biblical knowledge. They did get the anointment of God and even tyrannical leadership of their church. Those kids supported by supernatural gifts of the lord are able to easily penetrate the spiritual market and they are producing several spiritually immature followers who cry about wealth, health, and earthly things but not heaven. Those presumed foundations of the church, the prophets and disciples, are producing the poorest quality faithful and the faith of truth is becoming shame of humanity. It is no wonder, after all, that a blind cannot lead a blind.

 

The good question is what is the solution? The solution is church has to return to the leadership of God himself. Jesus through the Holy Spirit should lead churches, as the blind cannot lead the blind. No council, no association, or no elders can solve this problem. After all, because you collect several sick people under one council, you cannot make doctors out of them. A council of sick people is a collection of sick people, nothing more and nothing less. What we need is God and his leadership, the real doctor of our sickness.

 

Let me give you a practical example, to show you the way of the council versus the way of God. If people are teaching the wrong theology and people are following them, given they believe their miracles are conformation of the lord. Can you legally force them to change their theology? You cannot unless you mix religion and state, which is illegal, unnecessary, and counterproductive. Yet the lord can control spiritual powers and to whom it is given. Even if you think some of those powers are not from God, is the devil more than God? It is up to the lord to allocate and reallocate its powers, after all majority of their followers tend to follow supernatural powers and when such reallocation happens the people will change sides. Those followers are dead fish following the waves and the lord is the master of the waves. This means the fate of the faithful is in the hands of God and they are not hard to deal with if it is the will of God.

 

The most important question that we must ask is: why are supernatural powers coming outside the churches of the elders in the hands of those spiritually infant children of the faith? We have to know: what is wrong with those elders and their methods? There are stories that miracles used to happen just like that in older times and we need to know what happened in the meantime. My understanding is that they become bureaucratic and political in their approach and they are observed to stand against lord’s plan and anointing in the process. When Joseph is having dreams from God, the elders are becoming like the rest of Jacob’s children rather than being like Jacob himself. The traditional churches should reform themselves to be fertile ground for the vine of the lord to grow and to have branches of the lord with green shade. Then they should develop disciples of the lord with the right theology and it will be up to the lord to pick his servants. The lord should lead and we should be servants serving his purpose. We are not wise enough to know who will be the next servant of the lord. We, fortunately, can build a fertile ground for the growth of such servants of the lord.

 

Don’t forget the historical churches and their councils started right in the Constantine Era. Their work in the rejection of several heresies and the selection of most books of the bible is worth mentioning. But what came out of them over time was nothing but a shameful version of religion. The way of your council is the way of those lost historical churches. What is needed for the corruption of those councils, to turn them into enemies of the faith, is that the devil has to take control of them. What is needed for such an end to happen is that some foxes in cloth of sheep have to snick in and control the politics and bureaucracy of the council. After all, you already dancing with the state and those people will take it to the next stage to make you neo-catholic and neo-orthodox.

 

What is the difference between the leadership of the council and the leadership of Jesus? When Jesus is leading, decisions are conformed, or changed by Jesus. Lord was telling Paul to stay in this town, don’t go there, do this and do that. That is the leadership of the Lord and since the lord is in the spirit of every faithful the will of the lord will be known for every faithful. The decisions of the lord will be conformed in many directions. If Paul were a fox in the cloth of sheep, the shepherd, Jesus, would warn his sheep. Peter, John, and Jacob knew who Paul was because they were led by spirit. You don’t decide what to do with Paul by democratic means, you ask the lord. That is the lord leading the church. Voting who is Paul or some prophet or disciple clamming Paul is this or that means a blind leading a blind. After, all we should not forget that Judah was a disciple as Lucifer was also an ark Angel. Yet, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
