If you only know who they are!
Lord
told us to love our fellow faithful, especially the fellow faithful. Lord told
us to take care of the fellow faithful, especially the fellow faithful. If they
are sick, we have to be there; if they are hungry, we have to be there; and if
they are in prison, we have to be there. This is a mandatory requirement of
every faithful. But we don’t do that because we don’t know them, if we know who
they are, it would serve us better.
Lord also told us to love our enemy, to pray for those who hunt us, and to bless those who curse us. Lord told us to feed our enemy when s/he is hungry, to give him/her water when s/he is thirsty, and to comfort him/her when s/he is in pain. We don’t do that because we don’t know them and we don’t know ourselves, either.
Lord
hates pride and told us to be humble. Lord did not want us to take a higher sit
but to take a lower sit. Lord wants us to serve the most, to demand the least,
and to have no pride except in our knowledge of God. Yet we are very proud and
this is because we don’t know who we are. Our behavioral problem is because we
neither know the world nor ourselves.
Let
me start from the second point and let me ask: who is my enemy? I am a child of
God and s/he is a child of flesh. I am born of the spirit and s/he is in the
flesh. In simple words, my enemy is either a child in spirit or mad man like
the devil. How do you handle a child or a madman? S/he attacks you. What do you
expect? S/he insults you. What do you expect? That is his/her nature. The real
question is: who are you? Are you a child or a mad person? Or are you a
spiritually mature person? Do you see yourself at his/her level or not? If a
child insults you, you smile and you may tell the kid not to be a nasty kid.
You will not be going toward a fight with a kid, s/he is a child and you are a
grown person. If a mad person comes with stone, what do you do? You avoid him,
hide from him, and pray for him. After all, s/he is a mad person. That is the
world, as the world is made of children and mad people. You are the sole of
this world, you are united in spirit with the lord and you are the mature one
in the neighborhood. What does it benefit you to run after a mad person or
child? How does it benefit you to fight a child or a mad person? We are
children of God. Our pride is we know God. So, what do we have to prove to
anyone? Nothing! We are proven!
Do
you find loving a kid who hates you hard? Do you find it hard to pray for a mad
person who chases you? Is it hard to forgive a kid who harasses you? No, it is
a kid or mad man. That kid is the world and that madman is the world. They are
not born in spirit; they are not even infant in spirit. In your eye, they are
lost in darkness and you are their guide to salvation. What is there that
you need to prove to them? Or what is it that you need to be proven by them?
The reason why you don’t love them, pray for them, and care for them, no matter
who they are and what they do, is that you take them seriously but you don’t
take yourself seriously. When you see anyone who is not born in spirit, you see
a dead person walking. That is it, you see a zombie running after material life
and risking everything valuable for valueless things. Don’t take him/her
seriously just think about how to give him/her life under the lord. They are
sick and angry, you are the doctor; they are hungry and trying to kill you, you
are the one with food. They are lost and fighting their shadow, you are the
light in the darkness which guides them to light. If you know who you are and
you know who they are, it would be easy to obey the lord and to keep his
commandments.
It
is not hard to love our enemy; it is not hard to pray for those who hunt us; it
is not hard to forgive those who transgress against us; it is not hard at all.
The reason why it seems hard is because we take them too seriously, they are
not that important, and you don’t take yourself seriously, though, God will
destroy nations for you – Just for you. “He insulted me and disrespected me in
front of everyone and people laugh, … how can I forgive him, pray for him and
love him?” They are infants insulting you and infants laughing, but you are the
mature one. Is it hard to forgive them, pray for them, and love them anyway?
See you take them seriously and you don’t take yourself seriously.
Life
is not always this easy and the challenge this simple, but start from those
little things. The person who you have to love sometimes is the killer of your
family. The one who you have to forgive is the one who rapes you. The one for
whom you have to pray is the one who destroys your life from the bottom up. It
is not easy, but learn the easy ones and you will have the character to do the
harder ones over time. Don’t start from the harder ones, start from the easy
ones and slowly you will find yourself doing the harder ones. Say a madman
kills your kid, the lord is going to judge him (do you doubt that?) and what is
there that the lord cannot do that you can? The best for you would be to pray
to the lord to forgive him, so you can show to lord you are born in his image.
Is it easy to do? No. But learn to do the small things, so what seems hard can
be easy for you over time.
The
only thing precious about the world is that there are lost
children of the lord who have to be found so they can be born in spirit to grow
in the image of the lord. They are in the world but they do not belong to the
world. They are not born in spirit but they are chosen by the heavenly father
to be part of the kingdom of God. Those
are diamonds in the rough hidden in the dirt of the world and your task is to
attract them through the light and salt of the lord and to lead them to
salvation. If it is not for those lost sheep of the lord, nothing is valuable
about the world. Don’t take the world seriously, take yourself seriously.
Do
not be surprised when the world turns ugly. What do you expect otherwise? Your
surprise should be when the goodness of the world is more than you can imagine.
They are not born in spirit and as a result, they are climbing an uphill battle
of life to be good people. They find a way to read the good law which is
written in their spirit to be the salt and light of this world. Those kids, in
spirit, with exceptional nature should open your mouth with admiration. Love
and admire the good Samaritans everywhere and they are your good friends.
Now
let us address pride. Imagine, you are among mad man or children. If children
approve of each other but don’t approve of you, what do you feel? What if
several madmen call themselves this and that, and call you the stupid one? What
do you feel? You will not care what they call you and how they address you, you
will be focusing on guiding them toward the right path. You will smile and
laugh at their insult because they don’t know better, and you will try to be a
better guide. Is there dignity in establishing your pride among them? There is
none. You should be humble enough and nice enough, not to make them angry, so
you can guide them to the right path. You are proven by God; you don’t need the
approval of anyone.
Now,
let's imagine you marry a beautiful woman that you love. She, however, comes
with heavy luggage. She has hard-to-love children. If your love is so deep, you
will pay the price to build the love between you and those kids. You will be
very careful, calculative, considerate, and long-sighted to turn their hate
toward love. People do this for the love of a woman. Practically, for nothing,
just for earthly happiness.
Now
think God is the love of your life and he comes with luggage. He has several
children and some of them are painful to love. God cannot only give you earthly
joy but can determine your eternal future, hell or heaven is your choice. You
love your ugly and painful brother, heaven is yours and you hate your brother,
hell is yours. How many of us are ready to carry this luggage of the lord, how
heavy it is? Not many of us. Yes, there are bases to cut off your brother and
there are steps for it. Outside of this possibility, how many of us try hard to
make it work? We don’t try so hard and this is how far we love the lord, and
that is how far he loves us back. God loves those who love him, God respects those
who respect him, God honors those who honor him, and the flip side of the coin
is also true. The sword of the lord is double-edged, it cuts both ways.
Now
let us know who our brother is. They are temples of the lord, and Jesus is
inside them. Jesus sees through their eye, listen through their ear, and guide
their spirit from their heart. Jesus is literary there. Now imagine if a poor
person comes with your mother and asks for $1, how many of us say no in front
of our mother, given we can afford it? What if a person comes with Jesus, Jesus
is standing there, and asks for water, food, shelter, or any handout? Even if
you don’t like to give, how many of us are ashamed to say no in front of Jesus?
Not many of us. The real fact is that, most of the time we do not help our
fellow faithful. This is because we do not deeply know in our mind that Jesus
is just standing in front of us with our fellow faithful.
If a faithful is hungry, Jesus is hungry; if the faithful is
thirsty, Jesus is thirsty; if the faithful is in prison, Jesus is in prison. Be
careful in dealing with the faithful because they are the temple of the lord
and Jesus lives inside them. Besides, as it is written anyone who gives a cup
of water to those little ones of the lord will have a reward both in heaven and
earth. As it is written, if you don’t visit Jesus in prison, feed him when
hungry, and help him when sick, you will go to hell. I am telling you to
love and protect your fellow faithful and don’t take this easily.
