What to fear?
As faithful, what is that we must fear? Do we fear the world? Do we fear science? Do we fear technology? Do we fear spiritual powers, devils? I am not sure if we should fear the world, as a man of sight and spiritual power could not fear the powerless blind collective, we call humanity. What is with us is mightier than what is with the world. Even the numerous Angels who protect us are just showoff, the heavenly father with the Son and the Holy Spirit watches us, protects us, and guide us, with the mighty hand of the mountain, which is above all mountains. Nobody is mightier, knowledgeable, powerful, and dedicated to the cause than the heavenly father and nobody takes his children from him.
The world is not there to scare us,
the world is our farm and the people are blind, who do not know their right
from their left. If the world is sinful, you should not be surprised because
the public toilet is dirty. What do you expect, otherwise? What is surprising
is that if there is no adequate light and salt in us to make us a solution to
all sicknesses of the world. If the world sins, it is its nature and nothing is
surprising about it. The real question is: why are they not seeing the light
from us to guide them from their darkness and despair toward life under the
lord? That is what is scary about this world. What is scary about this world is
that we don’t look like our master, we don’t think like our master, we don’t
live like our master, and the light in us is often mixed with darkness. That is
what is scary about this world.
What about science and technology?
Should we fear science and technology? It is not even worth talking about the
level of stupidity, it is nothing but stupidity, around this issue. All
religious simpletons of every age did play this stupidity forever and it is
becoming boring to listen to it furthermore. Let me ignore this joke and let me
focus on its underlying cause. The cause is conspiracy theories and fairytales,
which are written in English and originating from the West. For some naive
faithful in Ethiopia, fairytales of the Western World are taken as self-evident
truths. Besides, they are without shame to repeat them in public media of the
faith to the eye and ear of the world. Do not you know that after listening to
this joke coming from your mouth, tech and science-literate unfaithful people
will not take you seriously then after? You are destroying the potential
spiritual birth and growth of some unfaithful, by your pure ignorance. The name
of the heavenly father is insulted, in the mouth of the unfaithful, because of
your inexcusable stupidity. This is the 21st century; there is no excuse in
this age to be this naïve. Remember everything you listen to in the West is not
always right. Otherwise, you will be lost in the issue of faith by not using
your intelligence.
When the forefathers said BIBLE only,
it means fairytales are not our guide but the BIBLE. When we say BIBLE only in
Ethiopia, it means no books of a fairytale, written in the name of an angel or
saint, is our guide. It does not mean our faith should be built on conspiracy
theories of some intellectual abortion writing nonsense from his mother’s
basement of the Western World. If the world is swimming in sin, our stupidity
and naivety are not going to save it. After all the stupidity and naivety of
Rome did not save Europe, it destroyed the faith of Europe. Can people think of
us like the wind? Do they find it hard to understand us, because we have the
heart of Jesus, the eye of Jesus, the ear of Jesus, and the mind of Jesus? No,
we are laughing stock of the lost word because we have the ear, eye, heart,
mind, and naivety of some intellectual abortion writing fairytale in his
mother’s basement in his/her middle age. Our light is darkness. Teach the
light, BIBLE, not your darkness, Western fairytales.
What about devils? Yes, we should fear
devils because as the lord works 24/7 to keep us safe, the devils are working
24/7 to destroy us. But should we be shaking in fear of devils 24/7? No. We
should be holding tight the hand of our heavenly father because he is mightier
than all of them. Devils are dangerous but we can win them, with certainty, not
by fearing them but by benefiting from the protection of our heavenly father.
We can defeat the devil because nobody can defeat the heavenly father and Jesus
Christ is our shepherd. Our shepherd and our shield never sleep and never rest
in over watching us; so we can sleep without worry like a baby sleeps in the
hand of his mother.
Jesus came to blind the devils who can
see and to give sight to the blind, us. Our light is the Holy Spirit and nobody
knows the heart of God which guides the spirit of the lord. If we are led by
the Holy Spirit, even devils are blinded in front of us. If we are led by the
spirit of the heavenly father, the Holy Spirit, even devils will not know where
we are coming and where we are going. If the Holy Spirit led us, the devils
would be nothing but a confused goat lost in the middle of a highway, running
from here to there in complete confusion. The mind of the lord is a confusing
highway of truth and power, and no one can understand it. What is beautiful is
we have heart of the lord. So devil is not something to fear, because we have
God. After all, who can fight the almighty?
So what is left to fear? We should
fear God. Without God, we are nothing. We should fear God as a child fears
his/her parents; because without his/her parents, a child is left alone in the
middle of the cruel world to fight the invisible army of enemy, devils, who are
united in spirit to destroy him/her. What should make us fearful is the lord
being disappointed in us. What should scare us is the lord taking his
protection from us. What should scare us is the lord taking his Holy Spirit
from us. What should scare us is a life of sin that we are accustomed to. What
should scare us is our distance from God. The only thing scary is the chance
that we may disappoint the lord for long and the lord may lose his patience
with us.
If you must be scared, be scared about
the lord giving up on you. So seek what is pleasing in the sight of the lord
and try to do what is pleasing in the sight of the lord. If you must be wise,
be wise around the lord. Just think 24/7 not about what makes you happy but
what will make the lord happy. You do what is pleasing in the sight of your
boss. Your boss is bounded in his/her capacity and probably is also sinful.
What about doing what is pleasing in the sight of the lord? When you wake up,
just think about what will please the lord today and what things you can do
today to make the lord smile on you. Who is mightier: your boss or the Lord? Is
it not odd that you will think 24/7 to gain the favor of your boss but you
never remember the expectations of Jesus on you after Sunday sermon? Really,
what is wrong with you? This is scary and if you must fear, fear your ways.
Then use the fear to let you grow toward the ways of the Lord.
