Jesus: our water level of perfection
Let us assume you are given a chance
to teach every mind in the world. Let us assume, that it is the will of God
that your mind should be connected to all minds of this world. Let us assume
you are faithful in the lordship of Jesus Christ, to mean you believe Jesus is
God, from eternity to eternity, who is born as man, died for our sins, raised
from the dead, and now stands on the right side of the heavenly father until
all his enemies are under his foot. This Jesus is the measure of our
perfection, and water level of holiness, mercy, forgiveness, love, justice, and
everything perfect.
This Jesus is the road that can take
us to heaven, as he is the path to salvation. He is the revealed wisdom of God
and he is the ultimate truth. He is the perfection of God. Moses is not
perfect; Samuel is not perfect; Paul, Peter, and, John are not perfect; and
none of us is perfect. Only Jesus, who is God, is perfect.
It is not quantum physics, therefore,
to know that the one that you must teach is the perfection, whose name is the
lord Jesus, but not an imperfection that we and our ideas are. You will not
preach your education, your experience, your political views, your social
views, your cultural identity, but Jesus. As it is foolishness to try to shine
a candle in the middle of the Sun, it is foolish to light your ignorance in the
center of the lord’s light. Jesus is the essence, and we are nothing,
therefore.
Jesus is not our instrument of
political power, it is not our tool for economic power, and it is not our
ideology for world domination, it is a call for service and sacrifice for the
name and honor of the lord. In this process, we have to teach the commandments
of the lord, and we have to live by them. Why? Because the Lord Jesus said so.
Anyone who teaches the commandments of the lord and who lives by them is a
giant in the kingdom of heaven and a wise house builder, who built his house on
solid rock.
Love of God, therefore, is not
something we preach only, but a law that we also live by. Love of fellow
faithful, and good Samarians is not something we teach only, but a law that we
also practice. Love of enemies is not something we read in the Bible, but a
commandment that we try hard to live by. The law of God is not a word we chant as
chant but we also live by it, while preaching it to the world. Why? Because the
lord Jesus said so.
Our God is not Israel, our Jesus is
not Jewish culture, and our bible is not your sociopolitical and economic
ideology. We don’t preach Israel, Jewish culture, and your political ideology,
we preach Jesus. That is why: when children are crying, we don’t say kill them
all. When people are starving, we don’t say finish them. When people attack
Israel, we don’t say hunt them. Jesus did not teach us to do so. We pray for
peace, mercy, forgiveness, and dignity for all people, Jewish or otherwise. We
want them to build a better future for both of them than killing, prosecuting,
hunting, and hating each other. Why because our teacher is the Lord Jesus
Christ, who is the prince of peace, and God of mercy.
Those who live by the sword will die
by the sword. Those who believe in the sword are fighting by the sword, and
that is their problem. We don’t live by the sword, we live by the word of God.
We are not sent to the world to judge but to save people from final judgment.
Our interest is to teach people about Jesus, so they could save themselves from
final judgment. Our mission is not to promote war and ethnic cleansing. We
don’t want Arabs to destroy the Jewish people, and we don’t want the Jewish
people to cleanse the Palestine people. Since children of God are called peacemakers,
we wish for peace among them. Why? Because our teacher is the Lord Jesus
Christ.
God is God. God is not only love and
holiness but also a judge. I don’t challenge God’s judgment in anyone including
me, therefore. God is God and his judgment is always right. Yet my duty is
neither to judge nor to facilitate God’s judgment. My duty is to focus on the
salvation of both the Jewish people and the world. My commandment is to go to
the end of the world to preach the gospel and to make people disciples of the
Lord Jesus, who attend to his commandments. Those lost sheep of the lord
include Jewish people, Arabs, Palestine people, Indians, Chinaman, Orthodox,
Catholics, and so on.
When I tell people to forgive their
enemies, I expect myself and them to forgive our enemies. When I tell people
that they should not resist evil but turn the other cheek, I expect me and them
to do the same. I cannot teach turn the other cheek, forgive your enemy, and
pray for those who hunt and kill you; then I can add kill the Palestine, hunt
those savages, and soon. How does it work? How can I preach one thing, and do
the opposite? If my holiness is not better than the holiness of Pharisees, how
I am expected to make it to the kingdom of God? I cannot think otherwise,
because my teacher is known as Jesus Christ.
I know there is a need for the
protection of the Jewish people, not as our lords and gods, but as lost sheep
of the lord who must know the lord is lord one day. That protection for us is
to tell the word of God that trying to destroy them from their ancestral land
is the same as trying to destroy Jesus. It is easier for heaven and earth to
pass than the word of the lord to become void. Trying to wipe them out is the
same as fighting with the lord. It will be your judgment day. Why do we say
that? Because our teacher is the Lord Jesus Christ.
That, however, does not mean we have
to be spokespersons of their government, their military, or their Jewish
culture that many faithful act to be. If Jewish people sin, it is sin. If they
commit a crime, that is a crime. If they starve people, it cannot be holy. We
are spokespersons of Jesus, not Jewish people or their government. If we must
defend them, we defend them with the word of God, not by propaganda and lies.
If we must rebuke them, we rebuke them by the word of God and the wisdom of God,
his name is the lord and God Jesus Christ, not by our political, social,
cultural, and economic ideology.
We are ambassadors of Jesus who teach
us to win darkness by light, not the Pharisees of Moses who tell us to destroy
the memory of Amalek. We are disciples of Jesus who teach us to love our
enemies and to pray for those who hunt us, not disciples of David who hunt
Palestinian people. We are Jesus's own, not disciples of his shadow. Why? Because
our teacher is the lord Jesus Christ. Love those who hate you, pray for those
who hunt you, feed those who starve you. Why? Because Jesus said so.
If Jesus asked me on Judgment day “Why
do not you work on the destruction of Palestine and domination of Israel?” My
answer would be because my teacher, whose name is the Lord Jesus Christ, said
so. The commandment of the lord was love of God, love of companion and fellow
faithful, and love of enemy. I am sure the Jewish people, Arabs, and
Palestinian people are somewhere in one of them, except for being our God.
The lord can give any land to anyone, and why does he need me for that? Yet he needs people who can shine his light and salt on the world, including the Jewish and Palestinian people. May the lord, therefore, give us peace in the Middle East, security for Israel, and dignity for Palestine people, so we can preach the gospel and all of them can focus on hunting us because we preach the word of God, the gospel, to them.
