The beam that is in your eye, first, dear

 

Faithful people are worried about the sickness of the sick world, though nothing is worrying about it. The sick world is sick, and what do you expect, otherwise? The real problem, however, is that the doctor, the assembly of the lord, is seriously sick as it is infected with the sickness of the world. The real problem is not why the idiots of this world are promoting sin as a human right and progress. It is natural, after all, for those in darkness to stumble, as they are in darkness of the flesh and the devil. What they did in the past, do now, and will do in the future is their nature, as their spirit is dead and sin is alive in them. It is not surprising why the dead are dead, therefore, because we were the most dead of the dead to be surprised by it. What is surprising is the fact that the living of the lord is living in the valley of the dead with manners and ways of the dead. Why is sin than holiness alive in us? Why is hate than love alive in us? Why is death than life alive in us? Why is earth than heaven alive in us? Why is our flesh than our spirit alive in us?

There is a sick world after its nature. Nothing is surprising about them because it is their nature. Then we have earthly, born again, “faithful” who despise and fight them, yet their treasure is in this earth not in heaven. They want the earth for themselves to live as kings and queens of heaven on earth. It is not their nature to be earthly, as they are born again in spirit, yet they are earthly. This is because if their treasure is on this earth, their heart will follow it to be earthly, to be led by the powers of this earth. It is simply impossible for earthly man to delight God as Pharisees of the temple never delight the lord. You being rich and in luxury, while your brother is hungry, cannot be holy. Dear, you can quote your loopholes for law, while ignoring a million laws that contradict you, but I tell you that all law is for love, and being affluent with a hungry brother is not love. I don’t tell you this because I am kinder than you, but because I should teach you the perfection of Jesus, not my sins. I am not selling myself, the sinner, but the perfect, the lord. Those, however, are not my focus now.

 

Then some are heaven-centered and fight both, yet the way they fight is not with heavenly weapons for heavenly ends, but with earthly weapons for earthly ends. As the first faithful want to dominate the world, the second ones want to dominate the religion. Yet the end was supposed to be that we all are dominated by the Holy Spirit. What they were supposed to fight was dark powers in the spiritual world, but they fought in the way of flesh and blood against their fellow flesh and blood, which are born in spirit. In general, what is happening all in all is that the Earth is fighting against Earth in three dimensions. One side sins by promoting sin, another fights sin for earthly reward, and the third one fights both with earthly weapons for earthly dominance of the religion. All the fights are earthly, the winner is the devil, and the loser is the kingdom of God. Our spirit and the Holy Spirit, which is inside us, are put aside, as we fight the gladiator fight of slavery, as devils watch for their entertainment while they play us as programmed characters in computer games.

 

There are millions on millions of problems in the assembly of the born-again faithful of the lord, the protestant churches. My focus here, however, is not about the failure of the assembly of the lords. My main point is how to get them right and how we can be the builders of our brothers’ faith and obedience to the will of the lord than their enemies. I know historians love knowledge of history, psychologists love psychology, managers love management science, and politicians love political science, but all those are not from heaven but from earth. That is why I am looking to the bible for a solution, not to the Wealth of Nations of Adam Smith. When Jesus speaks the truth and Adam Smith speaks his theory, dears it is foolishness to add Smith with Jesus as a solution for church problems. So, let us follow the good book and word of God to get ourselves right. We are not from this earth to be healed by herb of this world, but by fingers of God, the Holy Spirit, from heaven. The solution to our problems is in the bible, and only when there is no word of God in the bible or the message of the Holy Spirit that we should look for alternative solutions.

 

Yes, there is a problem among the faithful and their assemblies. The current problem, therefore, is how to get it right. With earthly medicine of this blind world, or with the light of heaven which is coming from all-knowing and almighty God. The Bible or Max Weber? The Bible or Marx? The Bible or Freud? I say the Bible, and only the Bible is the solution. Human knowledge is evolving knowledge and often is poor-quality knowledge, while the Bible is an eternal truth that we don’t completely understand. That is why: to get the assembly of the lord right, we cannot do it by management science, political science, psychology, theology, or whatever you study as wisdom of this earth, we have to get them right by light of the lord, the Holy Spirit, and guidance of God. If you push your knowledge on the metaphysics of your discipline to its limit and know that God is almighty and all-knowing, what I am saying is as simple as 1+1 = 2. As blind cannot lead blind, only the Holy Spirit can get the assembly of the lord right. As the last temple is not built by might, power, or knowledge of humanity, but by the spirit of God, this one is also going to be built by the spirit of the living God, the Holy Spirit.

 

The good question is: how can we get access to the light of the Holy Spirit, which will give us wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and solutions from God? To help them so they can help themselves, we need the guidance of God and a spiritual eye that can see right with the light of God. We need to have clear eyesight before we can clean the eyes of our brother. What this means in practice is in the good book, the Bible. The good book in Luke 6: 41-42 says: “Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your eye? Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you don't see the beam that is in your eye? You hypocrite! First, remove the beam from your eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.”

 

My observation of many good people is that they are angry about the quality of the faithful and the assemblies of the lord. Some have old churches, some have Facebook accounts, some have YouTube accounts, and soon, and it is a war of words, administrative tools, and condemnations. They are shouting “Here is the prostitute, who is red-handed in the very act,” and they will never stop stoning her every second. Then the other side responds with similar hate, and it is civil war in the house of the lord. We know there is prostitution going on. There is prostitution going on in the assembly of the lord. In Luke, when Jesus was rebuking the Pharisees he told them you look clean from the outside but you are grave of the dead from the inside as you are very selfish (getting rich by faith), without the love of God, and unrighteous (not really concerned about holiness and justice). He added that you are very concerned about your payments but not with justice and holiness. Besides, Jesus added that you should give your wealth to the poor and seek holiness and justice, so your inside can be clean too.

 

“Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness. You foolish ones, didn’t he who made the outside make the inside also? But give for gifts to the needy those things which are within, and behold, all things will be clean to you. But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and God’s love. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone. Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.” (Luke 11: 39 – 44)

Those problems are present in the assembly of the lord now and those problems have to be solved. The question is how? Are we solving them like Paul Kagame or like Jesus? Heaven is not for Paul Kagame, who destroys the faith in ignorance and pride of foolish person, but for Jesus, who built the faith by his flesh and blood and sustains it by his spirit. Who are you? Paul Kagame or Jesus?

 

When you are in front of God, God is not going to ask you: how many sinners you fight in your life, but about your holiness. Did not Paul also say you must have holiness of your own than the failure of others as a witness for your life? You will never and ever make it to heaven by pointing to the failure of your falling brothers and sisters day and night. That is what the devil does 24/7. The devil, like you, therefore belongs to hell fire. That is why the first thing to do is to get you right. You don’t start your holiness by pointing fingers, you start by imitating Jesus. What does this mean in practice? First love your God with your all heart, mind, and soul. Then love your brothers and sisters, unconditionally, and also your neighbors and friends. Finally, love your enemies, pray for those who hunt you, feed those who starve you, and support those who hate you. Every law and prophet is summarized in love, in perfect love of God. Is your love in existence and growing? Are you growing toward Jesus day in and day out? Before you can see your brother's eye to help him, help yourself by removing the wood in your eye. A blind cannot lead a blind, dear.

 

This will help you in two ways. First, whatever you do is not about your ego, it is because you love God, you love your brothers and sisters, and you love the assembly of the lord. They are not your enemy, they are your brothers and sisters who are wrong. If what is in you is love, you will help them in love, to build love, through love, and toward the love of the lord. You are not pointing fingers, as the devil does, but helping your brothers and sisters. If love is not built on you and is not growing, however, how is it possible you can be any help in the assembly of love?

 

Not only your intentions and ways be right when you are right but (secondly) the right one will be with you too. See, you know the bible, and they know the bible. You quote a verse, and they quote a verse. We all are blind, yet God has the right eye. That is why to correct your brothers and sisters, you need God. God needs to make you say right, and he needs to help them see your truth. God is in you, building them through you. Otherwise, a blind will not lead a blind. The good question is how can you have the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, in you that can make you a builder than a destroyer of your brothers and sisters?

 

Those who are growing in love of God, love of their fellow faithful, love of neighbors and friends, and love of enemies can delight God to be with them all the time and with the greater manifestation of his wisdom and knowledge. When you have love growing, you don’t judge the way you see and the way you listen but you see by the eye of the Lord Jesus, listen by the ear of the Lord Jesus, and will judge by the heart of the lord, as the light of the lord will shine in you. Dears, not only to others but you will be surprised by you. This is so because the one who is really working is not you, but the wisdom of God is working in you and in the heart of your brothers and sisters who listen to you.

 

In simple words, the one who can heal the assembly of the lord is God. What we have to do is take the wood from our eye so we can see right and be helpful as an army of God. Many of us are really focused on the sins of others, yet we don’t invest in our holiness. Our fight is not with flesh and blood but with spiritual forces. The wrong spirits which are misguiding the assembly of the lord, as some are under the devil’s influence and others photocopy from them (assembly of the lord is often a photocopy machine that photocopies things from everywhere popular), are also spirits who point the finger not to build brothers and sisters but to destroy the assembly of the lord. The devil is fighting us from both sides; as he is misleading brothers to sin on one side and making others point fingers in hate. The end of this process is that hate and sin will destroy the work of the cross.

 

That is why we have to say “No!” We start by getting right. Dears, stop your foolishness. When Jesus came to this earth, many Pharisees were sure enough in their holiness and knowledge to condemn even Jesus on the cross. They pick some laws, and prophets to follow, but ignore the rest of the bible. Then after, they judged others as sinners and untouchable and they went as far as to judge Jesus as a sinner. That is the end of human foolishness as blind leads other blinds to clef. We need to depend on God and his ways to get the assembly of the lord right.

 

To explain this much further, let me start with the jewels of our faith, the elderly of the faith. If you want to get the assembly of the lord right, first get yourself right. Remember your old love. So build it back in you first. Then help your assembly to be built in love. Focus on your assembly, not others. Yes the prostitute is prostituting and you want to stone her, but what about you? Who is going to stone you? Make sure your assembly is built in love, unconditional love. Then love your fellow faithful in other assemblies, unconditionally. Unconditionally means unconditionally! Then help them to get right, by showing the example of your assembly and the fruit of the spirit, in love to build them to love of the lord. We are very serious about collecting people to God, but very ready to kick them out because they are not right. As you collect them with unconditional love, grow them with unconditional love toward the love of the lord.

 

Have you seen the difference between a stepmother and a real mother? A real mother, like God, is very patient, very tolerant, very altruistic, and always willing to sacrifice her welfare, wealth, and even life for her children. Children are not always right, but the real mother is always their unconditional mother. It is not that a mother should spoil her children without discipline and guidance to make them the criminals of society, but her love is unconditional. We know, dears, how stepmother judges, and cares, though all stepmothers are not evil. Who are you to the faithful in your assembly or outside of your assembly? Are you mostly pointing fingers, and judging to kick that bustard child out, or are you a real mother dealing with her misguided children with unconditional love? To show love, you need love to be built in you. With that love, God will be willing to work through you and your work will be God leading the blind out of sin, through you. Your first assignment, therefore, is to get your personal life and the life of your assembly right. If you cannot build love in your house, however, why are you focusing on others? Dears, first clean the wood out of your spiritual eye. Get yourself right, as it is very easy to do, and then after God will make you his weapon to attain what you wish to attain.   

 

Now let us focus on those who post on the internet, YouTube, Facebook, and soon. I have listened to a good man of God saying, that running churches is work but posting about assemblies online is meaningless. My dear brother, however, did forget that Jesus went to heaven to be online in the spiritual space called the Holy Spirit rather than leading his church in person. Now Jesus can speak in heaven, and a person in any part of the world can listen to him. Now Jesus is like thunder which is lighted in the East and which can be seen in the West. Besides, imagine a prophet coming to the temple of the lord and speaking the word of God against the falling of the temple leaders. Then imagine the religious leader in the temple telling him that he does not know how to run the temple but to simply open his mouth. Yet his mouth is his work of God because God speaks through that mouth but God is not managing that temple. That is why I don’t think posing on the net is wrong or less important than running the church. Both are important for the work of God. That being said, I do think the posts on the internet need to be guided by love to build the assembly of the lord rather than to destroy it by creating fights and conflicts.

 

To say it again, before you post anything about anyone, you need to ask the same questions identified above. Are you spiritually growing in love of God, fellow faithful, people in your life, and even enemies who hate and hunt you? Are those things abundant in your life and growing, so the gates of heaven can be widely open to you? Are you sure you have a visa from heaven? Are you sure that the Holy Spirit is working through you? What is your fruit? Are you becoming more and more like Jesus? Is the light of God or your darkness winning you? As Paul said so on judgment day the list you give must be about your life not the sins of others.

 

I don’t watch videos of local critics of the faith to judge them this way or that way, but I have seen international videos about international preachers. I do think there are major problems in the work of many preachers of the word of God, which can be summarized as being too earthly. What is glorious after their service is not their holy life but their wealth. That cannot be right. Then some are ready to stone them for that and other sins they can pick. Since they shout to condemn them rather than to build them, what they look for and search for is sin and failure. There can be million good things, and 10 sins. Then they shout day and night about those sins, but not the million good things they have seen in their service. This is wrong and hateful. Are we speaking to build them or to destroy them? When you listen to what they preach do you see Jesus or the devil? The answer will speak louder about who you are than who they are. Who they are is not hidden, yet who you are is a more important issue.

 

My personal observation is that they do have problems, as we all do, and brothers and sisters do need to help them in love. What would be ideal would be if Jesus was around to tell them “You devil! What you think is earthly and you are a stumbling stone for me” as he did to his Peter. Yet Jesus is not around in person to rebuke his Peter. That is why we need to remind them by love, for love, through love, and toward the love of the lord that they need to be heaven centered than earthly. Yet to judge all their teaching, their work, their contribution, and their effort as completely sinful and the work of the devil does show that we don’t know God. If you know Jesus, you will love the Jesus in them, while hating the world in them, and spiritually fighting the devil in a few of them. What I am teaching you is how to spiritually fight the devil, while building the faith and obedience of the falling brothers and sisters. You fight darkness by light, hate by love, lie by truth, and fairytale by the word of God. You fight the devil by Jesus, you don’t fight the devil by the devil as you are trying to do now.

 

How do you know if what you do is by love or not? How do we know what we do is by the light of God, not our ignorance? We know that by our fruit. Do we love God? Do we love our brothers and sisters in faith? Do we love the people around us? And, do we love our enemies? Besides, is love growing in us? Those are simple questions that can check if our visa to heaven is stamped or not. If our answer to those questions is no, then we have wood in our eyes and we are not fit to clean the eyes of our brothers. We need to get ourselves right for our own sake before we point our dirty fingers at children of God because those who want to stone the prostitute are not identified as disciples of the lord, but those who obey the lord. 

 

In this age devil is making part of the faithful earthly and is misguiding them. Then he is making the other half judgmental and earthly. It is Earth fighting Earth to build Earth in the assembly of the lord. That is why we should remember, that though we are in the flesh, we don’t fight by the flesh. We are not fighting flesh and blood, but spiritual forces of darkness. So we light our love first, as only light can defeat darkness. By building love and following the lead of the Holy Spirit, we can see clearly with the eye of heaven. Then we can be helpful to God and to our brothers and sisters that we dearly love, unconditionally. Then after, we also know which son of the devil we can fight out right. We need spiritual eyes to know that Peter is not Judah, even though both are wrong. One is trying to run heaven by earthly means for earthly ends because he is earthly, one is destroying heaven for earthly gain. There is a difference. One needs loving rebuke, a test of God with chickens, and maybe a cloud of heavenly with the voice of the heavenly father. One needs the devil to be given to him to show his nature and to sell Jesus for 30 birr (dollar) in its proper time fixed by God. Let us be careful not to weed the wheat with a weed, however. Faithful is not defined by the existence and non-existence of weed, as it is written the devil is expected to plant his weed among the wheat, but by its nature. Is s/he weed or wheat? This is the question. 

  

Whatever is there, however, we cannot clean the eye of our brother, without taking the wood from our eye. We need to get right first, then we need to get our assembly right, and slowly we can help others. Change starts with us, let us change ourselves first. Then we will have a clear eye, and knowledge of the Holy Spirit to guide us. Then God can change their heart because he speaks to their heart. We can even pray for them. Praying is what I do for stone heads like me that I know will never listen to me though I am sure they are lord’s own. But if God is going to listen to my prayer, I need to be right. The Master Key, dears, is Love. Love of God, love of fellow faithful, love of people around us, and love of enemies. Love is more powerful than knowledge, dears. Love comes first.

 

You want to build the assembly of the lord back. It is easy to do. First, build love in your life. God’s assembly is not built by might, power, knowledge, or number, but by the spirit of God. Therefore, be worthy of the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, so God can use you in his work. So stop pointing fingers 24/7 and get yourself right 24/7. To see right in your brother's eye, first, get out the wood which is on your eye. If we are an army of heaven, we need to fight as an army of God who fights spiritual fight against powers of darkness rather than as political cadres of different religious parties fighting for church politics and church dominance.
