Let us cover our shame
There are some basic differences between the born-again faithful of this age and the born-again faith of the first century. The first and most important difference is that Peter, Paul, John, and others do give very high recognition and worship to the Heavenly Father as much as they recognize and worship the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Before they honor and worship our lord Jesus Christ, they do honor and worship the Heavenly Father, first and foremost. In this age, our lord is loved well by many faithful; yet we forget that our lord is a witness to our Heavenly Father. The purpose of the lord is that through the lord we will have a chance to know the Heavenly Father’s nature and perfection so we can worship him with knowledge and understanding. That is why we should use our knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ as an instrument to know the essence of Heavenly Father to worship him, in spirit, right.
Justifying the central place of
the Heavenly Father is not my main issue, however. One of my main issues is how
we define our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Our
lord did tell his disciples that they are his companions and friends. Yet, I
never read anywhere in the bible in which the disciples address themselves as
friends of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or the Heavenly Father. They identify
themselves as slaves of the Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, but not
as friends.
God did honor them by naming them
friends, but they honored him back by identifying themselves as slaves. The
first soldiers of the lord, the disciples of the lord, were well cultivated
enough to humble themselves in front of the lord, therefore. This is called the
heavenly manner, which is lacking in this age. In this age, Jesus is our friend
and the Holy Spirit is our companion. We say we are friends and companions of
the Holy Spirit and the lord Jesus Christ though the Lord never told us his
secret and plan for the world. I am also sure he never identifies us as his
friends. Those who are called friends by the lord, however, do identify
themselves as slaves of the lord. Why it is hard for companions of the lord to
identify themselves as friends of God but it is easy for us to say so?
Those people wrote the bible,
which means they were infallible, at least in what they wrote. The dose of the
Holy Spirit which was working with them, to perfect them, was not an easy dose,
therefore. Those people, who wrote the bible, identify themselves in the bible
as slaves of God. We the most fallible faithful there is, however, we sing,
talk, and daydream about our best friends for life kind of relationship with
the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is nothing but our empty can
being too loud as it is too empty of God’s essence, the Holy Spirit.
Moving to the next point, dears,
numerous persons of God have arisen in recent history and a large share of them
did end up in disarray, confusion, and even madness. To be in front of God is
the start of God’s grace but to stand with God forever demands wisdom of
heaven. Many servants of God are given a chance to work with God for God, but
they lack the proper mindset and manner that would allow them to keep and grow
their status in front of God. Their fall is not that God loves to dispose of
them after he uses them. If they fall it is because God cannot tolerate them
anymore as they are not growing right.
The beginning of all wisdom is
fear of God. When we start to know God for the first time, we obey him not
because we understand him but because we fear him. Our reason can tell us a
million ways why God is wrong but we obey him out of fear. That is first
wisdom. Wisdom starts with fear of God. When you read the bible for the first
time, for example, there are a million things that make you question it. But
you suppress your doubt and you hold to your faith, not out of knowledge but
out of faith and fear of God. You know against your knowledge, you reason
against your reason, and you sense against your common sense to believe that
God is right, out of faith and fear of God.
This will allow God to open our
eyes and hearts to his truth, which is the only truth there is. This will
create our spiritual growth process to learn heavenly language and heavenly
manners. As we grow, however, our knowledge of God increases and we start to
understand God is an all-knowing, almighty, and holy God, and nothing is
comparable to him, let alone the understanding of worthless beings like us.
This process will replace fear of God with love of God, and our faith in God
will be strengthened by our knowledge of God. In this process, we will denounce
and deny ourselves, while we honor and affirm God as holy almighty 24/7. Our
word will be holy, holy, holy God for 24/7 and forever.
The thought process of God is far
away from our thought process. The thinking of God is far away from our
thinking. God’s ways are far removed from our ways. God is God with his grand
plan, yet we are immature beings who cannot see farther than our noise. God’s
ways are far away from our ways, as heaven is far away from earth. That is why
the Holy Spirit is given to us to program and direct us from the heart of God,
so we can judge not according to what we see or what we hear but according to
what God knows and judges.
If we are born again in spirit,
we are like wind. Nobody knows where we are going and from where we come. Even
we don’t know how the carpenter uses us to build his beautiful furniture, as we
are led by the brain of God rather than our ignorance. Can you understand the
direction of the wind? No. This is because wind dynamics is determined on a
global scale if not at a universal scale. Unless you have all the variables,
the right models (theories) to connect them correctly, and updated information
on those variables at every nanosecond, you will not predict wind direction
perfectly. That is why God, who is all-knowing in knowledge, who is almighty in
capability, and who is the only holy one in judgment, will make you like the
wind because you are guided by the heart of God, and who can know the heart of
Jesus?
That is why God does not want
you, the human you. He wants your death. You have to be hanged on the cross and
you have to be washed away in the baptism water. God wants to recreate a new
you in his image, in the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, and this process is
possible, first, if you are born again in spirit and then after if you grow
toward God by denying yourself and being remade in the image of the lord.
Heavenly manner is to humble
yourself in front of God as a worthless slave and to make sure all honor, love,
admiration, and worship are directed toward God. Even when God honors you,
don’t honor yourself but God. Look around for lower seats and always take them
for yourself, and God will never stop telling you to take a higher seat. Look
at the life of the lord, all Heavenly Father did is to honor his son and all
that the son did is honor his Heavenly Father. All focus of Heavenly Father is
to honor his son by putting all his enemies under his footstool and the final
plan of the lord is to bow and surrender all to Heavenly Father, then after.
Jesus is God, but to be a good example for us, he does so. If Jesus does that
for our sake, how far lowly should we be in front of God?
So, why did God dishonor his
soldiers? It is because they lack a heavenly manner. They are given few, and
they produce 100 fold. As a reward, God gives them more, so they can produce
1000 fold more for God. Yet, they produce honor, respect, power, and affluence
for themselves. God is expecting their death, but they grow in themselves
toward their human end, with human imagination, and human ways. What is God
going to do with them? He leaves them alone and sometimes like King Saul they
are also hit with deceiving spirits to show them their end. People have
problems of surrendering themselves to God, and that is more problem as more
and more presence of God is around you.
As God honors you more, it is
time to kill you more. Denounce your ways, your thinking, your logic, your
ambition, and your attitude, in the foot of God to be reborn better in the
image of Jesus by increasing the dose of the Holy Spirit in your life. But
people miss this point, when God honors them, they focus on honoring
themselves, their ways, their thinking, their politics, their ideology, and
soon. They grow toward earth, with the power of the Holy Spirit, rather than to
heaven. What is God going to do with them, therefore? Empower their sin with
the power of the Holy Spirit?
Think of King David and his sins.
Was his sin abnormal for rulers of his age? No, his sin is very common for most
rulers of this earth. But King David knows God better to be sinning as such.
God is expecting him to be high enough to God's standard, and he falls like any
other trash of this earth we call rulers. God’s judgment is also very harsh, as
a result. If you know God better, better is expected from you. Sins that can be
tolerated in infancy cannot be tolerated at maturity.
That is why as we see more and
more hands of God, we should not honor ourselves but God. As God allows his
power to be manifested through us, we should be very familiar with the lower
seats of all assemblies. It is time to lay low and to keep God high above
anything else. This is heavenly wisdom. When God works through you, don’t think
you are Superman, but a trusted servant of God watched 24/7 by God and devils.
Devils will target you, and God expects better from you. So you need to be
right in your way of life, thinking, preaching, and how you deal with others.
This is not a complex process
because the Holy Spirit is with you not only to make you work for God but also
to work you in the image of Jesus. What you have to do is help the Holy Spirit
to help you. Make it your will to imitate Jesus by knowing God better to be
like Jesus. Know the fact that more power is more responsibility toward God and
more arrows of fire from the devils. That is why you need to remember that a
house built on foundation stone will not fall. It is time to listen to the
commandments of the lord and to live by them. Build your house on the
foundation rock known as the Lord Jesus Christ. After all who can do what Jesus
taught us more than Jesus? So grow in spirit toward the Lord Jesus Christ. The
commandments are easy to know: love God; love your brothers and sisters in
faith; love your families, companions, and neighbors; and love your enemies, unconditionally. This is the narrow path to
salvation and the Holy Spirit is with you to guide you on this road to the
Promised Land known as the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, so follow him, and
never and ever try to lead him toward your Egypt.
