Trinity: an anatomy of one God
How can God be one if he can be three? This is the paradox of the Trinity. Imagine a God who says that I am one saying I am three then after. How is this possible? This is possible because what we are looking is at the anatomy of one God. As the classic Greeks love to call it, this is God’s economy. It was economical, efficient, and practical to express, toward us, his single nature in three forms.
The
nature of the place where God lives forever is hard to understand. This is
because understanding God’s relationship with this eternal space is a
challenging idea in many ways. Say we can say that if that space is eternal and
not created, is it God? But how can God have another God? See it takes us to
endless contemplation. Though we cannot understand that point, we can be sure
God does not live in created heaven for eternity. If earth and heaven are
created, and since God was alive before he created heaven and earth, for sure
there is another uncreated heaven where God lives forever.
The one
God was in that uncreated heaven for eternity. Then he decides to create his
children, angels of God, in his image. Yet nothing created can stand to live
with God, so God created the heaven of Angels. After creating this heaven of
Angels, his first act was to give birth to his son, as the son is born not
created. As the Heavenly Father has an independent life, he allowed part of him
to be an independent son. As Eve is from Adam, Jesus is from the same substance
of the Heavenly Father. As husband and wife are one, in theory, Jesus and
Heavenly Father are one in reality.
This
Jesus is sent as the first natural son of God into the created heaven to build
it, govern it, and rule it, as visible God, to the spiritual eye, representing
the invisible Heavenly Father, who lives in his uncreated eternal heaven. Then
after, Heavenly Father used the Son to create everything else and nothing is
created without him. Jesus is the first of all not only in his rise from death
to never die again but also in the establishment of heaven of angels itself.
The law of nature that is used to build everything is built on Jesus and he is
the revealed wisdom of God, law of God, and logos of God.
Now as
Adam and Eve have to be one, and as Jesus and the Church have to be one, the
Son and the Heavenly Father have to be one. This is made possible because
another part of the one God, the Holy Spirit, units them. Jesus is in the
created heaven, the Heavenly Father is in the uncreated heaven, and they are
united by the Holy Spirit. That is why they act as one. This is like two
computers in distance locations working as one computer because they are
connected by high-speed wireless internet connection.
It is the
will of the Heavenly Father that Jesus should have his personality as Heavenly
Father has one, but they are united by the Holy Spirit to be always synced to
each other at every point in time. The full manifestation of God’s nature is
with Heavenly Father. The government of earth and created heaven is visibly
managed by the Lord Jesus Christ, and invisibly, by the power of the Holy
Spirit and other means, by the Heavenly Father.
The Holy
Spirit is the spirit that is still connected with Heavenly Father and which is
extended toward the Lord Jesus, Angels of Heaven, and all born again faithful,
in earth and created heaven, so all can work with one accord following the will
of the Heavenly Father. Jesus is often identified as the hand of God, and
muscle of God. The Holy Spirit is identified as the finger of God because the
plan of the Heavenly Father and the Lord are executed by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus, the muscle of God, manages heaven and earth by using the Holy Spirit as
his finger, and the Heavenly Father is coordinating all in the background. This
is heaven's economy.
What is
the Heavenly Father, therefore? Heavenly Father is the totality of the
substance of Jesus, the substance of the Holy Spirit, and even more. Think of
Heavenly Father as most of the human body, Jesus as his right hand, and the
Holy Spirit as the finger of God and as the nerve network connecting the entire
body of this one God. Trinity is an anatomy of one God, therefore.
The Holy
Spirit is not a visible spirit and nobody saw the Heavenly Father except his
Son, so the God that people know is Jesus, the lord. The God who spoke as the
Angel of God to many persons of God is Jesus Christ. He is what is visible, to
our spiritual eye, nature of God. Jesus is identified as the Angel of God and
God, at the same time, in most Bibles. He is the highest-ranking Angel God in
the created heaven. That is why Jesus has to bow at last, to be a good example
to us because he also serves as man and angel, in addition to being God. He is
God-man and God-angel sent to be our model and water level of perfection so he
can make us perfect children and angels of God, in his image or the image of
God. He is God but he was born to live in created heaven as the highest-ranking
Angel of God and visible God. This angel is worshiped, but he will also worship
the Heavenly Father to show us the way to be right in front of God. That is why
on Earth he was both man and God too.
Before
Jesus humbled himself to be man, therefore, he humbled himself to be the Angel
of God first. As he is man and God, Jesus was and still is Angel and God. The
Angel who is God is in all Bible and his name is the Lord Jesus Christ. This is
why he is the first before all creation, and everything is made through him and
nothing which is made is made without him. Jesus is the revealed nature of God,
the wisdom of God, the hand of God, the truth of God, and the law of God or
logos of God. He is the eternal component in the created heaven and earth.
The
Heavenly Father is not inside our created world but sees all that is happening
in the created world and he does manage it in great detail. That is why the
Heavenly Father knows more than Jesus. Jesus has to look through the heart of
Heavenly Father, see through the eye of Heavenly Father, and be empowered with
the power of the Holy Spirit to express his full nature as almighty God because
the totality of God’s nature is more skewed toward the Heavenly Father. After
all, it is written Jesus will not judge as he sees or listens but according to
the heart of God.
That is
why the Lord Jesus before he can see the future, needs to take the sealed book
from the hand of the Heavenly Father. That is why the Lord, when he was on
earth, said that he does not know the timing of the end of the world but the
Heavenly Father does. As the heart has its work and the lung has its work, in
the anatomy of one God, Jesus has his work, the Holy Spirit has his work, and
the Heavenly Father has his work, yet all work as one as they are interconnected
by G1000 connection of the Holy Spirit.
One may
ask: who is the most important and highest among them? This is the wrong
question, however. When Jesus is bowing toward the Heavenly Father he is bowing
to himself to create angels and human beings who imitate him. When the Holy
Spirit is following the instruction of the Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ, he is solidifying his government because what both Heavenly Father and
Lord do is his will. They are one unit working for one common will of one God.
Say your hand feeds your mouth, does it mean your hand is the slave of your
mouth? Jesus is bowing to the Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit is getting
direction from Jesus and the Heavenly Father, does not mean one is superior and
another is inferior, it is just a division of labor of heaven made possible to
accommodate created beings in the life of God that nobody can live with due to
overwhelming and consuming fire nature of God.
