When Religion Dies and Charisma Deceives (Edited by ChatGPT)

I have watched a few atheist kids saying, “I know what Christianity is, because I was Catholic,” and then they go on to rebuke a faith they never knew. In their fuzzy imagination, they think Christianity has anything to do with Catholicism. Christianity is faith, not religion — and faith is life. Life, in the sense that your identity, manner, behavior, outlook, word, speech, and faith are transformed from you toward Jesus.

It is not God you find in the Vatican or in a church — it is God who transforms you into the likeness of Jesus from within you. With this experience, there is no way you can deny Jesus. You cannot see Jesus, but His work is visible in you, and you cannot deny yourself to deny Jesus. This is why if you truly go to Jesus, there is no way you can turn back — unless your faith is questionable. That means either you were never born again, or you are not obedient to the will of God. If you pass the test of faith and obedience, however, you will know God enough to know that to run from Him is to run away from yourself.

That is why I am sorry for those Catholics, Orthodox, and most people in the world — for they live and die without life and without the knowledge of God through the Holy Spirit. Without being born again and without knowing the God who knocks on their door to save them, they remain entrapped in the false doctrines of the devil that indoctrinate them.

This is one side of the story. The other side is the chaos in charisma. I watched a woman speaking in “tongues” and making bizarre movements while anointing a homosexual as a servant of God — repenting in the name of “faith” for the supposed damage that the “faith” inflicted on homosexuals. I am sure this is related neither to Jesus nor to the Holy Spirit.

I have seen progressive jokes speaking trash — and trash is what trash does. What do you expect from the trash of life? Their sin against God is beyond imagination. They are not only sinning but remaking God in their own image. What an abomination! It would be better if they had never been born. Yet when I saw tongues and trash at the same time, coming from the same person, it revealed another level of charismatic chaos. Can we now doubt that the charismatic movement is mixed with charismatic chaos too? We need to know that not all spirits are from God. Even those who say they are faithful — yet delight in rebellion and are prepared to join the anti-Christ — can speak in tongues. Even many outright heretics in this age and in the past have spoken in tongues. Some tongues are tongues of the flesh, and others are tongues of the devil.

But are all tongues of this age wrong? Another story, from a reliable source, answers this. A young European believer came to Ethiopia in the mid-20th century to preach the gospel. He went to the southern part of the country when it was much more underdeveloped, even by the standards of developing nations. He was sleeping on the ground with illiterate peasants and insects all around him.

He was angry — wondering why God would send him to such a “rubbish” place, separating him from his comfortable life in Europe. As he was complaining outside the hut, the peasants woke up and started speaking in tongues. What was surprising is that these illiterate peasants were speaking in his native language — and the words they spoke glorified God, saying, “I am God who did this and made that…,” in the same way God spoke to Job. The man repented, built many churches before he returned home, and that land became a center of Protestant faith in the country.

So, is all tongue-speaking gibberish nonsense? I beg to differ. I was not there, but I trust those who told me they saw Jesus — without putting my finger on His hand. My conclusion is that there is the tongue of God, there is the tongue of the devil, and many people just speak nonsense. If the Spirit was speaking through them, without their knowledge or understanding — and if the oil is flowing that deep — then their transformation must be deep too. If a “faithful” person remains the same after two hours of speaking in tongues, I don’t believe that has anything to do with God.

So, there are those who do not know God and who have never experienced Him. I hope they read the Bible to open their door to the real Jesus — leaving behind counterfeit fairytales of old traditions. Those who think evil fruit is the fruit of tongues need to be preached the gospel, to accept Jesus as Lord, to be baptized in water and the Holy Spirit, and to grow into the image of Jesus. Measure your tongues by the Bible and by your growth toward Jesus. If you spend hours speaking in tongues, then let the glory of Jesus be visible in you by that measure — not through power and miracles, for the antichrist will outdo you but through the life of Jesus within you.

May God separate the light from the darkness, so we can see that the light is good — and that God has no spot of darkness in Him. Amen.
